The Cubbies better watch their backs --- there's a fast and stubborn fish on their tails.

.....Judging (from yesterday's bullpen incident) by the amount of alcohol the grounds crew consumes, they'd be hardpressed to get the job done properly. The Yankees bullpen really distinguished themselves yesterday. You people need to grow up.

Yep, you could be right about Wakefield (in game 7). It's not like knuckleballers can't go on just a couple days rest. It might just depend on how well he does in game 5.

A spokeswoman for the Boston Police Department said late last night that it is investigating a ninth-inning melee in the Yankee bullpen -- one that Red Sox officials say involved two Yankees assaulting a member of the Red Sox grounds crew -- and summonses may be issued, possibly charging the two players with assault.Speaks volumes.

Yes, but one of the two guys charged is not a member of the Yankee bullpen. He (Garcia) is an outfielder.

I watched Mickey Rivers effectively end Bill Lee's career. I know how the Yankees operate.

According to an Associated Press report, Nelson claimed Williams threw the first punch.

We drank pounders of Narragansett in high school. That stuff is p*ss water. LOL!

Is it OK if Steinbrenner gets a couple of big, burly former Marines from Brooklyn and puts them in the Sox bullpen at Yankee Stadium to wave towels and bust chops?

According to an Associated Press report, Nelson claimed Williams threw the first punch. The Boston PD seem to see it another way.

I watched Mickey Rivers effectively end Bill Lee's career. I know how the Yankees operate. I watched on National TV Pedro seemed to be saying to Posada, "I will go for your head too".

Any interest in the facts, my friend? Yankee fans are not at all interested in the facts. Doesn't suit their needs.
They are not interested in the fact that ...
...Zimmer has publicly apologized for charging Pedro,
...witnesses agree what happened in the bullpen, and the pitchers threw the first punch (and then stomped the grounds-crew guy with their cleats),
...that the Yankee rightfielder jumped the wall to take part in the beating of said grounds crew guy, apparently just for the fun of it.
These facts are not important to the Yankee fans I have had contact with today. The Yankees should change their name to the Angels.
Go Red Sox.

In the 50s the only commercial breaks were for Narragansett Beer "That's my beer, 'cause it's brewed right here!"
At least it was when they still made it with Scituate water. Once they closed the brewery and started brewing it outside Rhode Island, it pretty much sucked...
