As I recall, I had to keep up the addresses of the voters so the polsters could come in and find out who didn't vote. It had to be done every 15 minutes. That part was a pain in the arse. That's pretty much how it is done in Delaware as well, but there are at least 2 more people there representing the various different political parties. They checked the names and every hour or so someone would come and collect the lists and they would go to the county party HQ for the people working the get out the vote phone banks. I don't know which job was worse, the phone banks (I hate them) or the name checking.....

In AZ, you may not leave the polling place if you are working there. In CA, you can leave any time. I gave everyone breaks, including me, when things slowed down at certain times during the day. It's totally different here. That's one of the reasons I can't work the polling places here. I need to go home to check on the dogs/cat/family, et cetera. It's way too hard to be in one place for over 12 hours.

As I was posting to you, the thread was ZOTTED. Dang.
Wasn't this Michael Moore the same poster who was zotted a week ago? I didn't know the "real" Michael Moore was an elected official at age 18.

I'm sortof here :) I missed the breastfeeding article though! Did someone ping me to it? I've been stuck in a chatroom for the last few days while trying to follow the headlines at the same time. My computer is also being nasty to me and freezing up when I provoke it so I have to be careful about how many windows I keep open. :(
To: Slip18
Ok - got it...... sorry I missed that one...... love to read varying points of view....lol
To: honeygrl
What headlines are you following, honeygrl? Hey, we miss you in here!

Just following the headline on freerepublic mostly. I'm having trouble keeping up with everything lately! This weekend we are going to be at a family get together in extreme north georgia (in the mountains) so I'll be gone all weekend and possibly from Friday all the way to Monday. Right now, I am *supposed* to be going to the store but don't feel like it. LOL The hubby is going straight from work to school in the evening so the kids are with me from morning until bedtime and I am *so* tired.
BTW We are finally getting the baby to walk! Last night she was able to do 5-6 steps at a time without falling!
To: honeygrl
The baby walking is fantastic, honeygrl. Isn't it fun when they start doing things like that? This may not be cute, but I always thought it was funny when my nephs and nieces would fall on their diapered rear-ends when trying to walk. LOL!
