Hi Penny! I have no real news on the ticket front.... other than I almost feel like I should forget idea of making it up there for the special features... I am sure we will go up there for at least one show with you at the Cinerama, but I think I will make it at some regular, no hassle show.
Will see if ecurbh protests that thought when he gets up.

Cinerama is selling their tickets online this time. Rats! I was all set to take advantage of being so near the box office. Now I'll have to race online with the whole wide world.
Here is the info on purchasing tickets for the marathon at the Cinerama (from Cinerama's website):

On Thursday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m., tickets will go on sale for unprecedented showings of the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy at 100 select theaters across America. Lucky for you, Cinerama Theatre is one of them! Heres how it works:
TICKET INFORMATION:
-- Ticket limit: Patrons are limited to 10 tickets each
-- Purchase times: October 9 at 10:00 a.m. to October 10 at 10:00 a.m., tickets may only be purchased at www.movietickets.com. Afterwards, tickets may be purchased at Cineramas box office as well as online.
-- Ticket prices: $9.00 each for Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers; $30.00 for trilogy marathon, including Return of the King.
-- Trilogy Tickets: One ticket will serve for all three showings during the trilogy marathon.
-- Restrictions: No passes or coupons will be honored during the series.
SPECIAL SHOWINGS:
-- Friday, December 5, 2003, Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (special extended edition) will screen for one week only. Ticket price: $9.00
-- Friday, December 12, 2003, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (special extended edition) will screen for four days only. Ticket price: $9.00
-- Tuesday, December 16, 2003, all three films in the trilogy will screen as a one-day marathon, including an exclusive preview of the third and last film in the series Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Ticket price: $30.00
