i will be on foxnews at 12:30pm
Posted on 10/02/2003 4:48:37 PM PDT by WillowyDame
i was contacted by foxnews to be on at 12:30pm tomorrow to discuss the rush situation.
i know what to say about the espn situation but the drug one is the one that hit me hard.
this is a very sad day! i hope rush tells us something, anything soon; so that i can know what angle to use in defence of him.
one thing is for sure, if this is true, this will make his haters very very happy. they have been looking for something to bring him down with!
oh well i am hoping rush says IT AINT SO but if is, we should support him in getting the help he needs, not discard him over one bad deed.
we all make very poor choices sometimes..you just have to be willing to make changes and become a better person.

Hahahaha!!
That's what too much 70's radio in the car with my parents did to me.
Now I'm warped for life.

When I saw him I thought maybe "Willowy Dame" was more a preference than a discription. ;)

Best of luck. We all love Rush, that's number one. All of us have problems to overcome. If Rush is addicted to pain killers, he needs to get help. That's all.

WillowyDame is just all over the place. I think its admirable though that no matter where she puts her attention she is successfull. There is something really attractive about someone with so much character and I get the feeling she exudes character.
One thing though WillowyDame. I couldn't say I like Howard Stern simply because of his Columbine statement where he advocated the rape of the girls running out. Shock jock or not that statement was straight from hell.
"There were some really good-looking girls running out with their hands over their heads. Did those kids try to have sex with any of the good-looking girls? They didn't even do that? At least if you're going to kill yourself and kill all the kids, why wouldn't you have some sex? If I was going to kill some people, I'd take them out with sex."

Fuzz, you are right. I for one do not want a woman with two felony convictions in two states (NY & Ca.) fronting for FR on national TV.
The documents clearly show a plea of guilty and no contest to charges of operating a prostitution ring and laundering money....this is not, as some would have us believe, a case of "youthful indiscretion". Nor is this behaviour in the dim dark past. This activity is within the last couple of years.
I have no ill will toward anyone here....I do think we should think twice before endorsing a spokesman.

The conservative movement owes it's success to Rush. I agree it will go on, even if Rush does'nt even with the efforts and glee of the left.
I love Rush. I am disappointed, but that in no way makes me want to see Rush give up his talent.

After looking at the links you posted, I REMEMBER her from Stern!
You were right.
To: Naspino
nas, howard has said worse things!
you should have heard him when i started listening in 1990
he was once really really funny.
the last time i saw his show on e! i felt so sorry about the way he was humilliating girls..something about ms ugly face..i don't remember. i thought it was sooo cruel. it was horrible.
but i will always like him because he entertained me for years at one time.
i have not listened to him in years..
the show started sucking when he went hollyweird with that his over-hyped movie.

It has only taken 190 posts to reveal Willowy Dame as a shyster, albeit an attractive one.

No ill will? What ever happened to paying ones debt? Hmmmmm? Or would that take away ammunition from this disorganized smear campaign?
Of course, I really dont expect much more than everlasting condemnation of the "criminal element" by an ex-LEO. Once a criminal always a criminal eh? Makes that old 'Us versus Them' world view a lot easier doesn't it?
I suppose that means G. Gordon Liddy should be forced off the radio and into a hole because of his felony conviction. After all, he might be considered a front man for the conservative movement as a whole. Can't have that, we might get a black eye if he goes nuts and start breaking into hotel rooms again. My God! All civilization could be affected!
Individuals do change regardless of how that offends your or Fuzz's sensibilities. As long as she has put her past behind her and is on the side of good, I welcome her support of Free Republic in any capacity. While I certainly never endorsed anyone as spokesperson for FR, I could think of a few offhand that I certainly would oppose and she isn't on that list.

the way he was humilliating girls..something about ms ugly face..i don't remember. That was 'Ms. Buttah Face', as in she would be real hot, 'but for her' face. I usually listen to Boortz in the morning these days, but since I have to stream him here in the NYC area, I still listen to Howard when on the road in the morning(not very often). When I have listened to Howard, the news tends to be the best part anymore, where in the past I used to be disapointed when it got to that part of the show.
