i know what to say about the espn situation but the drug one is the one that hit me hard.

I have been thinking about this all morning and I've come to a conclusion. If these allegations are true, Rush will survive. He is a fighter. He's triumphed over his hearing loss and he will triumph over this. However, even if Rush does go down, the conservative movement will continue stronger than ever. I believe it was John Lennon who said to Elvis, "Before you there was nothing". The same can be said about Rush. He has educated his millions of listeners. I for one, would not be the person I am today without his guidance. I just want the libs to know that this will not break us. We will keep fighting for what is good and just. I would suggest tackling it head on. I truly believe that everyone makes mistakes, but how you handle your mistakes is what sets you apart from others. He probably really needed the pain killers at one time, and the addiction set in, like it does for some people. I doubt he woke up one morning and decided to take pain killers for no apparent reason.

Here's my thought on the ESPN thing, one I deeply believe needs to be brought out.

The libs keep saying that what we need in America is open and honest discussion about racial issues. But when some body like Rush makes an honest statement in the open about race and media bias -- without injecting white guilt -- he gets crucified. Once again the libs reveal their hypocricy.

RE the drug thing. If it's true it just shows, once again, that dependency is something that harm any person's life from any social level. Just like everyone else in such situations Rush deserves support and prayers if this has truly affected him.

As far as my own take on this, I can believe Rush might have developed a dependency on painkillers -- I don't think there's any great shame there, it's quite different from getting into illegal recreational drugs -- but buying them from an ex-maid when the man is rich enough to BUY his own staff of doctors -- and a pharmacy for that matter? It seems outlandish.
