Which puts him in the second tier of starting qb's.....And that is NOT where the media, and by extension the NFL wants him. QB ratings in the 80's the last two years. Rush is right, McNabb is carried by his team's defense. Of course most players are only as good as their defense and their offensive lines. The exceptions to this rule are the true superstars.

the point is not that McNabb is the best QB in the league or top ten or whatever, but he certainly is not the OBVIOUS choice for whatever lamebrained point that rush was trying to make. i still think Rush made a huge and lamentable error. and i can't see that it was intentional since it was the culmination of something he had talked about wanting to do for forever. the left salivates for any chance to latch onto something and make a huge cause celebre out of it. Rush gave them this big fat juicy controversy, for some inconsequential point. wasn't as if he was saying something that desperately needed to be said, and, therefore, honorable. this was just STUPID.

Yes, his 2002 stats are barely better than AJ Feelys, (though McNabb tossed 17/5 td/int, Feeley 6/5).....

McNabb was out with a broken leg for much of last season. a leg he broke in a game in which he threw 4 touchdown passes.

That was an amazing game. When I see things like that, I'm amazed at what adreneline can do, and wonder how bad they hurt the next day.

He was exactly the point. McNab is HIGHLY OVERRATED, because of the combination of his SKIN COLOR and his POSITION.
It is not unlike(and he alluded to it in his comment) the NFLs position on Head Coaching.
Tell the Detroit Lions that the NFL does not push that angle....How Much Did they get fined by hiring Mariucci, when they couldn't get a black candidate in for an Interview?

Get Well
I hope youre feeling better now,
With all the cutting done.
Lying there in bed is tough,
I know it isnt fun.
But now its done and youll get well,
And back to things that matter.
Im glad the doctors fixed you up,
But what is a gall bladder.
