Big babies in my family lots of 9 plus pounders but anything above 7 is a keeper. "Under 7 we throw em back and catch em later" is the family baby joke. The poop thing is from my first day with Flurrette. I stepped out of room for coffee and returned to a mommy and baby covered in poop. I cleaned them both up. XWIFE had never been around babies but she learned fast.

I abhor the continued personal attacks on conservatives, and the
Rush controversy seems to have taken a turn for the worse.
I do fault Rush, though, on his football comments - he should have said them about Cordell Stewart :)

They want Karl Rove. That is the point....They know they can't hang the President with this, even though they are back to the Watergate phraseology, the NYSlimes went into the "coverup worse than the crime" bit on their OpEd page today.

Boy, I would have had to throw both of my babies back......... first one weighed 6 lbs second one weighed all of 3lbs 3 ozs........ lol but both turned out to be keepers.......lol

you got that right, my dearly departed dad could go on a rant about Cordell Stewart like you would not believe. i think rush was wrong and that he gave ammo to an audience that was just looking to string him and conservatives up anyway. it was a stupid comment.

I think Rush knew exactly what he was doing........ I think he did it to cause controversy and get himself in the limelight........
To: WhyisaTexasgirlinPA
but he resigned. so it was a miscue at the least.

You've got to abhor the spinning
That Grayout is now beginning
He tells Cruz to go away
And hopes to save the day
And in denial, believes he's winning

Yes, it was stupid. He could have alluded to the medias obsession with race, without saying it flat out.
However, that having been said....
It is entirely possible, he said it intentionally. It was a non offensive quote, he said nothing Bad about McNabb per se, just that he wasnt that good, which is IMHO accurate.
Now, he resigns, and he's a martyr for speaking truth to power in the eyes of those that listen to him.

well IMO, i think it was stupid. he could have done more for the cause (whatever that is, conservatism, basically, i guess) by just being noncontroversial. here he picked an asinine thing to say, nothing that really merited it (mcnabb is having a horrible season, but he is not a POS QB or would not have had the stats to get into the probowl as often as he has) and caused this huge brouhaha over something inconsequential, instead of maybe sticking around and saying things to make people think in a more subtle manner, over time. he has always wanted to do this, i can't imagine that after such a short period of time he would have sabotaged himself willingly and done something to allow him to be forced out.

I have thought about that, because greeting card poems can be written in 5 minutes. But they have to be more generic. I like writing about and to people and things I know but I can be generic. If I knew where to audition I would.

The ProBowl is a F*ng popularity contest.
How Many ProBowls did Doug Flutie Go to ?
All he ever did was WIN, and he was forced to go play in Canada, where he shattered just about every concievable record, wasting the prime of his career playing against inferior talent, only to come back to the NFL too late.
Why, Because he was short, and White.
