I've seen those Buicks!
What's really bad is when you're driving in a Humvee on the highway and having no idea how fast you're really going.
The speedometer in a humvee only goes to 55.

We were heading to the Kensico Dam Plaza near Valhalla New York (Irony?) and actually were keeping even with traffic.
While towing our howitzer for a static display.

A few minutes later, the driver looks left out his window and is surprised to see a state trooper car sitting there.
He asks us what he's supposed to do.
(We all shrugged an dtold him to find out what they want, they looked rather expectant.)
Mind you, the humvee is a rather loud vehicle to ride in, and you need to shout to be heard when it's at speed.
The trooper in teh passenger seat leans out his window and asks how we're doing.
Our driver says we're doing fine, and they're doing?
They say they couldn't be better, and ask us if we know how fast we're going.
Our driver looks at the speedometer, it's pegged, and he says "Not a clue!"
Trooper says, "You're doing 90, have a nice day!"
They sped up and left.
We slowed down and let traffic pass us.
We then had the sarge call 'home' and inform them that we could get one of those green beasts up to 90.
They didn't believe the sarge.
*chuckle*
We did make excellent time to our destination.

Good grief! I had no idea those Humvees would go that fast. And while pulling a Howitzer, at that. LOL! Now why on earth do they only make the speedometer read up to 55 when it can go much faster? Makes no sense to me. It's actually dangerous.

That's wild that the State Trooper just pulled off like that and didn't stop you. Around here, they pull you over for going a couple of miles over the speed limit. I can vouch for that. LOL!
