My daughter's high school started the football season by winning its first 4 games, the first time that has happened in just about everyone's memory. But tonight we just lost to a school that has never won a game before. They're only in their 2nd or 3rd year, but we were heavily favored and just blew it.

I will be really glad to be in my own place next week. I spent my lunch hour today getting gas and electrical hookup appointments, getting a new phone number and choosing a long distance carrier. I just need to find out who the ISP is for the high speed Internet access, and I think I'll be set. It will also be nice to have a full range of cable TV channels. I'm tired of having just TNT and TBS and CNN and the local channels. And I'll have all my own stuff too. And a real oven.
