BEGINNING TO END.
Its Spring,
I have been awakened
By the birds in the trees.
Its early yet .
So I have plenty of time.
Its time to watch,
To look and to see.
To learn what I am.
What I am meant to be.
Its early yet
So I have plenty of time.
Its Summer now,
I have been awakened
By the heat of the sun.
I guess Theres still
A lot to be done.
Ill travel now,
In the summers warmth
To places as far
As my mind dare go.
Its early yet,
So I have plenty of time.
Fall has arrived,
Much to my surprise.
I am feeling a slight chill
But my traveling to places
is not yet done.
There is still much to learn,
To see and to hear.
I have been in directions
I didnt know you could go.
Its early yet,
So I have plenty of time.
The Winters cold
I can feel on my neck
I think now I have done
What I was meant to do.
I pass now to others
What I have seen and heard.
It is what I am
And what I was meant to be.
Its not early anymore
And I dont have much time..

Oh, golly, Dan - you write, too? I'm a little misty-eyed now after reading first Dansy's and now this one. It really is nice to have this thread that one can feel comfortable posting things like this. Thank you for including my name in the 'address' line.

The first time I read your poem, I felt sad. But it isn't sad at all. It's perfectly beautiful and well expressed.

BEGINNING TO ENDAre you an imposter!? No? Well.....
....all I have to say is ...God was certainly generous with the giving of *talent* in your family.
And I thought all you could do was play with guns and hit targets.
Very nice, 45.Man. : )
