I voted for Carter in 1976 and regretted it before he was inaugurated.

I was only 16 and so unable to vote. But I was seriously leaning that way, also because of Watergate.

By doing research for mock debates in American History class (I was assigned to be Ford) I knew I would not vote for the peanut farmer. 2 years later when I was able to register to vote I registered as a Republican. Reagan was the first presidential election I voted in.

well true, but I can't give you a grade unless you tie it to a current event/news story.

I know how to use the grill - I just prefer not - I like eyelashes and eyebrows!!!

coolbreeze is a wonderful cook and a master on the grill.

Microwave popcorn is convenient - but I much prefer it when he does it in the cast iron skillet on the stove. For some reason it just seems to taste better.

I saw that story last night and thought about using it as the example. It won't be long before they bring that garbage to the US.

A+

Reply # 2 here is priceless! Yes, some clever person later pointed out it would all be George Bush's fault.

Martin plays liberal POTUS
But his actions are pernicious
Deep in the left wing
He can have his fling
Why must he foist his views on us?

I really didn't have much choice. the place closes for the season this Friday and will not be open again until Thanksgiving weekend.

I know the people andcan stop by any time to make my "lay-away" payments - but I wanted to make sure the item I wanted in the color I wanted it was not snatched out from underneath me.

It's a handmade, handpainted wooden lighthouse to put in the front yard next to the buoy there that came with the house. The colors are identical to what colors we are painting the outside of the house.

In the spring I'm going to tear out much of the "lawn" around the buoy and that is where my perrennial herb garden will be. so the gardon will be "anchored" by the buoy and the lighthouse.

I will kill anyone that pings my husband to this thread or this post.

Yeah, but you'll just do it with second hand smoke so it'll be a long slow death...
