I know I've over-used Kilauea's ongoing eruption for GeoPic of the Week material, but this one just looked sinister.

I'm certain, cog, that the effluent from that volcano contains ozone destroyers AND greenhouse gases.
The question is, how are we going to stop the darned thing from smoking?

Actually, though, volcanic emissions don't commonly have much to do with the ozone layer or greenhouse gases. A big eruption like Pinatubo can put enought sulfur dioxide in the stratosphere to react with ozone and change the stratospheric temperature (I think it increased it, but I'm not sure) which affects ozone, but the routine volcanic emissions aren't appreciable.
