Yes Robert, I have thought about turning the bowl upside down over the big whirlpool in the bathroom, if you get my drift. Mack however belongs to my 4 yr old grandson and I can't face the consequences.

Mack is a cute little fellow that react and does wheelies and loops when it's time to eat, and appears to be growing. I didn't notice him swimming upside down when we first got him but he has been doing it for months now. He gets right up on the surface and can stay like that for several minutes.

He is in a very inexpensive tank that fits in the corner with a little blue thing that is replaceable that makes bubbles. I put him in a fishbowl while I clean the tank with Dawn dishwashing liquid. The tank came from my daughter-in-law who had the boy's goldfish Goldie that went to her great reward several times but kept resurrecting at Wal-Mart where the boy recognized her right away. Finally, I got the tank

When I first noticed it I was sure he was not going to last much longer but as I said he has been like that for months.

You all have been great and I will copy and try your suggestions and see if he stops doing it.

Jayne, soap is not a good thing to use to clean out a small fish tank. Try vinegar. Soap leaves a residue that can have a lot of bacteria in it.
