BEEEUTIFUL!! Greece looks very inviting. Although I have heard that you don't ever want to become involved with their Police force for ANY reason.
To: grannie9
You are getting just so clever. Pretty soon you'll be such a techy you'll be waaaaaaaaaay out of our league. lol
To: grannie9
Wow grannie -- you are a master electrician!

I'm not in the habit of being in possession of such things as riding crops or whips, if you prefer. Garter Belts?
Net Stockings?
Leather Wear?

Well once in awhile I do wear net or mesh stockings. The other two items are out. I thought garter belts were those god awful things we used to have to wear to hold our stockings up.!! I had no idea they had other uses. LOL

The trip to Vegas is off. One of the hazards of a long distance relationship with a man married to his career I suppose. I guess I like him more than I was willing to admit before.

That is an interesting tax list. But you are wrong about none of them existing prior to 100 years ago. I believe all of the following existed from the foundation of the country.
- Property Tax/Inventory Tax
- Estate Tax/Inheritance Tax (1797)
- Sales Tax aka Excise Tax
- Court Fines
- Utility Taxes
- Local/State Income Taxes
- Federal Income Taxes (first levied 1861 for civil war -see first link)
- Various licenses and Permits
- Luxury Tax (1794 see Tax Museum)
- Liquor Tax *(1791 see Tax Museum)
- Tobacco Tax (1794 See Tobacco History)
References
Then you do have a lot of taxes that came with cars, telecommunications and other technological advances.

It isn't easy, but it can be worth it. In the meantime you just have to type dirtyto each other.

Yeah, well I just hope that by the time we get to see each other again we haven't forgotten why we wanted to!

Yeah, well I just hope that by the time we get to see each other again we haven't forgotten why we wanted to! It was six months before Lisa and I saw each other the second time, and then I had a massive staph infection from my shoulder surgery and was too sick to care if I lived.
It was another six months before we really saw each other again, and a year is a looong time, but we survived.

Good information - thanks for the correction.
I just post this stuff.
Cheers.

Well, it has been almost a year already....would have been over a year by the time we actually got together. Now, who knows. Eventually the program he's in will bring him to the mainland for additional training, but that will be sometime next year at the earliest. He has no idea now how long he will have to postpone his vacation because he goes in the first part of his training at the time that he would have been here. His devotion to his work is one of the things I admire about him, but it doesn't make it any easier.
