In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
deride \de*ride\, verb:
deriding, derides, derided; transitive verb

It is in the nature of tyranny to deride the will of the people as the voice of the mob, and to denounce the cry for freedom as the roar of anarchy.

Our Titans are playing the freakazoid Raiders, and this is one of those payback situations. I'll go with the Titans. It's good to take the home team on the Sunday Night Game especailly when the point spread is only 3.
Now for the first series pics of the year.....
Purdue -11 at home all over Bowling Green
GreenBay -5.5 at home vs. the Minessota Viqueens
And Denver -6.5 on the road vs. Cincinnatti

we have always either mailed or dropped off our premiums in person, but this is a new agent since the move and since we have only dealt with the office by phone, we decided to stop by there.
And besides, it's an excuse to go over to Chincoteague Island, now that the tourists are gone, and scope out and seek another watering hole. I love the one we go to now, but it's nearly 30 miles south of here and the little one's school is not so far south as it used to be. The Island is only 15 miles east!!!

I remembered it at 5:30 this morning when we got up and hubby said "happy birthday" to me, but I've been sitting here crunching bid numbers since just after seven, and freeping, so my mind was occupied till just now. I've got to put away the numbers for awhile and go pick up some money I have already made. I think I found two ladies to work with me in my proposed cleaning/make-ready business, too! Hubby found them where he works, and I'm going to call them tonight.

you would make a fortune doing that up here. i know i don't pay near what lots of others do, bc i have had consuela for almost 15 years now. she needed to charge me extra now that i added the finished basement to her territory, and she asked me HOW MUCH more did i want to pay!!

by the way, it is an absolutely GLORIOUS day here today. the heat and humidity is gone. it is sunny, mild and breezy Same here!!!
And my frame of mine has also had a major lift.
Having the kitchen 85% papered also helps. All that is left to do are the small spaces, around the doors and sink and cabinets. By this time next week it should be yellow and I will be starting to ready the cabinets for their paint job!!!!! Progress - YEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA
