BRITNEY COMES OUT SWINGING FOR BUSH
Wed Sep 03 2003 19:35:45 ET
Britney Spears came out swinging for President Bush on Wednesday during an interview with CNN's Tucker Carlson.
CARLSON: A lot of entertainers have come out against the war in Iraq. Have you?
SPEARS: Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision that he makes and we should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens.
CARLSON: Do you trust this president?
SPEARS: Yes, I do.
CARLSON: Excellent. Do you think he's going to win again?
SPEARS: I don't know. I don't know that.

I'm going to strive for consistency: I don't care what some celebrity says unless it is egregiously anti-American. I truly don't care what B. Spears thinks about geo-politics.

Three years ago, my fiance and I took in a little white jack russell stray, who was, shall we say, looking rather dilapidated. She was muddy, covered in ticks, and stunk like hell. Feeling we needed to sex her up a bit (our male Jack has a champion pedigree) we decided to name her Britney.
Well, she's lookin' real pretty these days. I'm guessing the sex-symbol namesake thing did her some good. Britney the ....uh...."artist"...hasn't been doing so well these days, however. My mom called me tonight and told me we needed to change our Jack's name after the whole lesbian fiasco on MTV. Then I check out the Drudge Report....Guess our little princess gets to keep her name afterall

She's a slut, but it would be kinda neat to be married to someone who looks like this slut.

Read what Spears actually says. There's no indication she necessarily even knows who the president is.
She may not, but I'd still like to get her vote ... if you know what I mean.

After her little "smooch" with Madonna, I guess its already clear that she's swinging for bush.LOL!
To: hchutch
Well, I'd give her a kiss for those remarks (but not a French one;)
To: Frank_2001
I would not object to giving her a kiss for those remarks...
Maybe I could be persuaded to give her more than one...

"She waited a long time to have sex and only had it within a committed relationship. She might dress and perform on stage like a slut, but she seems like a pretty wholesome girl to me."
Wholesome????? In my book, if you "dress like a slut" and "perform like a slut" -- hey, you're a slut. At the very least, you're encouraging a lot of impressionable young kids to want to act like sluts also, and to think being a slut is OK.
"Committed relationship"? What's that, anyway -- other than a trendy term for shacking up?
But I really don't blame her. She's an idiot. I blame Tucker Carlson for asking the bimbo such a stupid question.

I think she just acted on the moment and kept off the celebrity bash Bush bandwagon due to celebrities lately not getting a good reception in regards to their nasty politics. I give her credit for actually speaking words of support for President Bush in this and the hell she will likely receive from her peers-no more kisses from Madonna, lol. But I think she's really shallow and unsure of herself. I still think she's a disgrace in her ways of entertaining.

"Marilyn Manson, came out strongly in favor of the Bush ticket" You're kidding right? I'm a fan of beautiful people myself.

...she seems like a pretty wholesome girl to me.While her onstage antics are unfortunate (smooching Madonna etc.), it does seem that she lives her private life in a conservative way. Plus, she is openly pro-life, so credit for that.
To: Z in Oregon
"she is openly pro-life" She is? Oh yuck! Don't give me any reason to like her. Sigh.
I guess this is good to know. My children are consumers now and they won't be giving their money indirectly to the socialist party of America.
