In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
opacity \O*pac"i*ty\, noun:
opacities; noun, plural
opacitly; adverb
1. The quality or state of being opaque.
2. Something opaque.
3. Obscurity; impenetrability.
4. Dullness of mind.
The opacity of the logic of Runaway Dems has truly baffled me, don't they realize they are acting more like children than the adults they purport to be?
--RikaStrom, WFTD Teacher
Etymology: [French opacité, from Old French, from Latin op cit s, from op cus, dark.]

I guess ok.
All I really heard about was the little boy who had to go to the nurse because she "throwded up" in his hat. And she didn't like her sandwich and she left her lunch bag in school.
At least she wasn't one of the ones that got lost that the bus driver mentioned to me yesterday afternoon!!!

xsbrownie made not one, but TWO visits to the school nurse yesterday, on day one of school! first bc she got kicked in the head by a kid swinging on the monkey bars (have you seen the hilarious Verizon commercial where the guy gets whacked by the kid on the swings, btw??) and another time for falling and skinning her knees bloody during gym class.

Good morning.
I just finished viewing the fat ted thread XS posted. You could use some of those pictures as threats to make small children eat their vegetables!
Does that blob have any mirrors in his home?
I think he needs to make an emergency trip to Kraemer's and order a truck load of manzziers (sp?)!

this is her first experience in a non-Catholic school. her current school is private, non-denominational. i asked her if it felt weird not to pray at the beginning of the day yesterday. she said yes, it felt like they forgot something. i asked if they said the pledge of allegiance and she said, yes, they did, and then said, i DIDN"T THINK THEY WERE ALLOWED TO SAY 'UNDER GOD' THERE! i was astounded. she never participates in the political discussions, but obviously she is picking up on the stuff we talk about during oreilly and H&C!

Jax is got so used to saying grace before meals at the preschool, I don't know what's going to happen with that at lunch, but they do say the pledge and have a moment of silence.

Homework:
When the power went out in New York, all the windows in the subway were at full opacity.
Then again, aren't they always full of dull residents who voted for Hillary!?

I only did so because I would NEVER allow myself to assume such an abominable physical condition...and knowing your proclivity for such motoring enjoyment, making the offer to you provides even more incentive to stay in shape. :)
