I have many reasons for my support for Arnold.

California is my home state, and my entire family lives there.

I have campaigned with him during Poppy Bush's elections. So I know him and I know his enthusiasm and love for this country and his strong support of the GOP Party.

California's recall is about fiscal mismanagement. Arnold has and economic background and is very sucessful in investing and business. He also has some of the best economic minds on the planet on his team.

I see Arnold like Bush, he is surrounding himself with the best advisors for his cabinet so he can deligate. No one man can do it all.

I also respect the people backing him, George Schultz, Milton Friedman, David Drier, The Jarvis Taxpayer Organization....

He has been very clear that he will not raise taxes unless it's a huge disaster ( ie. earthquake). He will rescind the car tax and bring business back to the state.

The governor isn't a social director, so frankly, even though he is to the left of me on social issues, I don't care.

Arnold has energized the voter. He can win. He can get a huge cross over vote. He isn't a 'my way or the highway' kind of guy. He has always had to work with people with opposing views and has done it quite nicely.

Lastly.... I have never seen such meanness from anyone before I have met McClintock supporters. Even McClintock has been childish in his interviews. He is NOT a successful politician. He has lost 2 statewide elections. He is a career politician and has had 22 years in California to enact change and he hasn't. This is not a dynamic man but he does have the possible dishonor of spoiling the election for the GOP. I know that the head of the California party has asked Tom to withdraw his candidacy for the good of the party, and Tom has said no. I do not respect the man.

I think McClintock will be out after the CAL GOP convention Sept. 12-14.

Change of subject:

Do any of you have satellite TV??? My cable just went up again and is now $43 a month for BASIC service. Internet is an add'l $43...for a total of $86 a month!

I don't know anything about Direct TV or other providers, but I'm going to start investigating TV and internet service options.

Any input from you guys?
