Yes, he is really getting big. Hard to believe. Still able to con grandma though. Here he conned me into getting him ice cream even though he didn't eat much supper.

Maybe not just ignorant but over the years the population was educated at least from the 40's generation used their common sense more and instilled it in their children to exercise their brain. Both my parents were born in the 20's.
My one brother always jokes about my mom ... that she taught us to be independent .. and they when we grew up, she resented it .. *L*
I've also found in my family (7 kids) that the liberal ones (2 of them) were book smart and the conservative ones were street smart ... Reminds me of a saying .. Common sense is not so common

Yes, that was with flash. I might try taking it off outdoors, but indoors or in somewhat lower lighting outdoors it doesn't seem to help either. For example, here is one that was taken on my ex-mother-in-law's front porch. It was midafternoon. This is pretty much after maximum adjustment was made and it is still awful.

"Many a child is spoiled because you can't spank the grandparents" LOL! Well, when Tyler lived with me, I had to always be attentive to such things as what he ate and to be the disciplinarian, which I really hated, so now that he doesn't live with me and since I only see him a couple of times a year, I feel perfectly entitled to spoil him as much as I want. It's my job. Just ask him.

"I have a feeling he always will " Yep! Well, it's only fair. I had a grandma that I could ALWAYS con. I think one of the best ones had to be the time I got her to take me and my best friend to a drive-in movie in the snow! ROTFL!

I always laugh at my inlaws .. they would never let their kids do the stuff my kids get them to do.
After a while I had to step in and be the big meanie because the kids were really taking advantage of grandma & Pop pop
