We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Remember the Trade Center!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
North Korea, in the six-way talks to discuss the dismantling of its nuclear weapons program, announced it has a nuclear weapon and will test it. [Ed. Note: The United States should announce in return that it has a nuclear weapon and intends to "test" it.]
In the left's continuing attempt to disarm Israel, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced it will look into "Israeli Nuclear Capabilities and Threats".
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

There is a bridle trail that goes thru there.. I have never been on it. The walk from parking lots is wooden steps & decking.. from there I climbed down falls & walked IN THE RIVER..... that was the trail...that stream runs into Tinker's creek & I went probably another mile on it. Stopped short of ViaDuct area that I wrote Eric about.
At some points you are in river with 100 foot walls on either side.
BTW on the 25th I will bring digital camera but will need some "place" to park my pictures for posting afterward..
'
Gotta run.. on way to hospital. continual parade of hospital, nursing homes, etc with the elderly folks in my life/responsibility (note i did NOT say paid)..

I made supper for the girls tonight. Low carb. I roasted a beef roast and made mushroom sauce. Serious mushroom sauce. Trill says I got my money's worth out of the soups, stocks, and sauces module. ;>)

Mrs. Mulliner just said that she doesn't think we could make any lower carb peanut butter than what we buy. We have been buying PB with no sugar added for quite a while now so I guess the only carbs come from actual peanuts....and hard to make peanut butter without them.
When I was on Atkins, not just the maintenance phase, we were in Singapore and there weren't many low-carb foods available. I was very pleasantly surprised by some low-carb items when we came back here last summer. But by that time I was into the maintenance phase and didn't pay all that much attention to those items.
I may go back on the induction phase soon. Since quitting the night job where I walked about 8-10 miles every night, I am lacking in exercise and feel myself getting soft. I can't seem to stay on a good maintenance phase diet for more than a couple of days now because we have too many things around here that aren't geared for me and with Mrs. Mulliner working full time now, I'm fending for myself more.

I am still undefeated as a goat wrestler! My last match, against the big billy, was nip and tuck, however. It was really almost a draw: I got the medicine down his throat, but he got his smell all over me. In fact, I can hardly stand to be around myself. PU!

We've been doing lots of errands and chores today. All afternoon we have had monsoon-type rains (yay!). I am really tired and am calling it a night.
See you all tomorrow!

It looks like Jerry Lewis is on steriods for a medical condition. One of my neighbors had a kidney problem that she almost died from, her doctor put her on steroids, and two weeks later she was unrecognizable. The condition is called moon face.

LOL! The winner & still champion: MR. MULLINER!!! mulliner... mulliner...
Is there a goat wrestling entry in Ripley's(tm)?

That news takes me back about 18 years. I was first in China in the summer of 1985 and was struck by how few cars there were. At that time pretty much all automobiles were official cars for high-ranking officials and the rest of the motor traffic was farm trucks. Everyone else rode bicycles.
As I tried to take in the vast population of China, I could see just how monstrous it would be if they ever approached our percentages of car ownership. In big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, it would be virtually impossible to build enough roads to accommodate that number of vehicles.
Consider that the population of Beijing is somewhere over 10 million, maybe closer to 12 million. Two million cars for that size of population is low by American standards, but I can tell you that Beijing closely resembles a giant traffic jam. And the last time I was there was 7 years ago so it's no doubt even worse now than it was then.

Mr. ML always makes a mushroom sauce whenever we have roast beef.
Tonight he & his bros. are making spaghetti.
Last Friday was "chili" night.
I'm tired and cranky.......and my knees hurt.

Jerry Lewis was going on and on about the electronic implant he has and I wonder if that has made the steroids unnecessary. He was quite heavy all over, but didn't look quite as round-faced as the picture I posted of him.
He is really very funny, you know. I never liked to watch his telethon because he seemed like a chain-smoking idiot. But last night he seemed quite the natural entertainer with lots of wonderful, human stories.

What a coincidence, Jerry Lewis is on Larry King Live right now. He has put on weight, but he definitely has moon face. The crawl says he is battling a life threatening illness. He's fidgeting too. I hope the electronic pump is helping him, they can do amazing things with pumps these days.
To: Mr. Mulliner
Thanks for your thoughts. I was browsing google news and ran across the Peoples Daily of all things and its brag that there were now 2mil autos in Beijing. A secondary article was on traffic jams, btw.
They want to be us so bad, they're willing to kill us for it.

Looks like I've missed you guys. I woke up with a sore thrat this morning, coated tongue and all (yuk). I went to work, a contract worker in my group isn't anymore, her cubicle was empty today when I walked by it. I don't know what happened, but her attendance at work has been kind of spotty this week. Anyway, I'm going to bed and see if I can't kick the sore throat. Have a good weekend!!!
To: Utah Girl
Good night, Sweetie.....hope you feel better soon.
To: MozartLover
I have a headache and am feeling pretty worn out. I hope I'm not coming down with something, but if I do, I really want it to be over the weekend.

I thought the terrorist plots centered on any weak spot. Of whcih we have many. We just need more vigilant, armed citizens, as they have in Israel.

Just arriving, after staying with Grandchildren while their parents attended visitation.
Tiny Granddaughter, not yet 3, explained to me that Great Grandpa has died,,, "And he didn't even get ran over".
Day care provider insists the children hold hands as they walk down the street,,, 'so they won't get run over'.
Mom and Dad chase kittens from beneath the car and truck before they leave the house,,, 'so they won't get run over'.
Tiny child believe death is a result of 'being run over', and finds it amazing that Great Grandpa passed without the experience. She was so very serious.

It's so hard for them to understand at that age.............
Actually......it can be hard to understand at any age.........
