I haven't seen any used sailboats around here, but lots of used power boats (we just bought one a few months ago). Would the boat stores in the city have used ones? I'm sure I can get one of our neighbors who has a sailboat to teach us to sail.

Some friends of ours bought a small sailboat last year, and brought it up here on a maiden voyage. Neither of them had ever sailed, so they had some difficulty even launching. By the time they had been out 45 minutes, he had managed to hit his wife in the head with the boom, run the boat aground three times, and she had fallen overboard into the icy, frigid water (it was late February, and this lake is cold even in the summer). They made their way back to the launch, and as they were taking down the mast, it fell and broke. By the next week, the sailboat was for sale. I realize it wasn't funny at the time, but every time one of them talks about that disaster, I nearly pee on myself from laughing so hard. And I still wish I had been there with a video camera-I'd have won the $10K on America's Funniest Home Videos".

That is so funny...I have used CTD, that is pretty common. VCO (vultures circling overhead). DTF -- Dirt to face so he can get used to the view is one of the more obscene ones I have seen -- never used it myself. FLK -0- funny looking kid. FLKc.GLM Funny looking kid with good looking mom. SKIA therapy -- Swift Kick in Ass (my own design)...and the list goes on. Thanks for the laugh!
