In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

1. Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance or appeal; indifference.
2. Lack of emotion or feeling; impassiveness.
3. Feeling or showing a lack of interest or concern; indifferent.
4. Feeling or showing little or no emotion; unresponsive.
According to the Stoics, apathy meant the extinction of the passions by the ascendency of reason.

Be happy. I could never buy a suit off the rack without having it altered. The skirt would fit, but the top -- ferget it. I had to buy a size larger, then have the skirt altered. Also had to have the shoulders of the jacket altered. It's expensive to have large boulders on your chest.

Would you believe, camle, that scrubs are in theory flame retardant? It is true, scrubs were designed to be cool, light, airy and for God know whatever reason, to resist flame. It probably dates back to the time when flammable anesthetics were used and an operatering room or two was incinerated.

Those are the kind my daughter wears unless she is dressing formally to go out. I wear teddies or a camisole if I wear a dress in summer-I don't think it looks nice to go commando in summer dresses, unless they are strapless. But in a big old winter sweater, nobody can even tell if you are fat or thin, much less if you are braless.
