In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

scintilla \sin-TIL-uh\, noun
scintillant; adjective

1. A tiny or scarcely detectable amount; the slightest particle; a trace
2. A spark; a flash.
3. Miniscule

In victory, they must hold on to at least a scintilla of humility, lest they get too cocky -- and ripe for a takedown.
--Bill Breen, "'We are literally trying to stop time,'" Fast Company, May 2000

Etymology: Latin scintilla, "a spark, a glimmer, a faint trace." Also from scintilla is the verb scintillate, "to sparkle."

I used to call it power shopping - when I'd have a baby in one of those snuggly carriers and just take off throughout the store. Also did a version of power mowing too, in the days before the rider. That was without a strapped-on child, but was done at warp speed so I could get it done during the nap before the baby monitor called me back inside.

with all of her $ and knowing what she used to look like, you would think she would be at a fat farm, with a personal trainer, or having a live in cook, a la rush limbaugh. or doesn't she have any $ anymore. did she get any cash from the CA settlement, i wonder? CA found for her, and TX agin her, right?

Have you been spying on my husband? ;)
Don't forget the other rule - if you ask them to stop at the store, they need a list for 3 items.

My boss said as long as I confine my freeping to lunch, I can play, but I can't let it spill over to the job. :-)

I don't look at all in the morning, then after lunch, I refresh it about once an hour.

My last job, I freeped ALL DAY! LOL
