This is truly a treasure trove from one of the greatest lyricists ever. Just a terrific find!

Hopefully, someone with some musical sense will take up the lyrics for which no music is known to exist and write the music for it, in the manner that Barry Manilow has become Johnny Mercer's great posthumous collaborator. It would help bring back the art of lyric writing. Maybe the art of writing good songs as well.

They don't write lyrics this way these days and it's a shame they don't. Hart's lyrics were among the most literate, clever lyrics ever written, and among the wittiest too.
