it's a movie with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, where a teenager and her mom end up in each others bodies, via some Asian magic trick, and they learn what it is like to be each other, which helps their relationship. i understand it is a remake, i never saw the original, but i think Jodie Foster was the kid in the orginal.

Freaky Friday is a movie (currently starring Jamie Lee Curtis as the mom) in which a mother and daughter trade places after each complains about how much her life sucks and how much easier the other has things. The daughter goes thru the day in her mother's body having to live her mother's life and the mother has to live her daughter's life for a day.

It is a remake of a Disney flick from many years ago in which Barbara Harris played the mother and Jodie Foster played the teenage daughter (Foster was probably about 13 or 14 at the time). John Astin played the father in the original.
