In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
pandemian \pan*dem*ee*an\, adjective
pandemianly; adverb
pandemiousness; noun
1. Vulgar
2. Sensual
The characteristics of Aphrodite have bewildered philosophers who, like Plato, made a distinction between the two aspects of the goddess, one Uranian "celestial," as the goddess of pure love, and Pandemian, or "popular," as the goddess presiding over ordinary love affairs.
Etymology: I couldnt find the etymology, double grades to the student who brings it to class!

I eat most everything but pancakes, pecan pie, and sauerkraut. Not a huge fan of hotdogs either.

Well, it started off well, but I'm SO disappointed at the ending.

I eat hotdogs occasionally, especially if they are well-grilled...almost black.

Not without written permission and maybe a papal dispensation, that's what I was referring to. But now you've got me thinking of Carl Maria von Weber and his music and how I'd like to be home drinking beer and listening to him, and not sitting here at work frittering away a futile and rapidly passing lifetime...

I'm not familiar with him, but I would prefer to be home drinking beer and listening to most anyone (except Rod Stewart).

i guess not liking mexican would be weird depending on where you live. i imagine that in Texas and maybe the south, not sure, it would seem odd. but mexican was not common in Pittsburgh, growing up and not in upstate NY where xshub grew up either. xshub is about as bad as honeygrl sounds except he likes corn, and salad as far as vegetables go, but only with Italian dressing. and he prefers his hotdogs grilled to black also.
