If you have Russian text in a Word Doc, do a SAVE AS to .html. That will translate the file to unicode. Send the .html file.

Thanks thats pretty close. The problem is when I receive emails from Russia. The russian writing comes out to be mumbo jumbo. It would be nice if I could type directly in russian, maybe then i could receive emails from russia that I could read. Its amazing how much freepers know about everything anything. There are some clever freepers out there. Thanks Coroner.

Can't give you an exact answer but it is most likely to do with the character set in your e-mail program.

Inside your computer each character is identified by a number (e.g. "A" normally has a code of 65). Because the Russian alphabet is different it can not use the standard (ASCII) codes that you use for English.

Your e-mail program needs to be able to use the other character codes. There is probably a setting that tells the e-mail program what character codes to use..... somewhere.
