We are planning a trip to Disney World next summer and we have some concerns about what this event is really like.

Boy do I know about the price of taking a stand. We just left a Christian school I loved, just 2 weeks ago, when the Headmaster and Board indicated that this issue would be sent home and not even discussed Biblically forced us out the door. Sad times.

wear anti-gay t-shirts. it's always funny seeing angry gay men, its the angry gay women that will beat you up.

I have been to pleasure island with my kids (at the time all under 8) because one of the resturants we wanted to try was there. The music was loud, fun and the stores were neat. There would be no reason, prior to an "unfamily" type hour (past 10 or so) that I would leave this area out.

Disney "leadership" on this issue can be e-mailed at
wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com When I initially called, they wouldn't even give me the date and told me to "contact a gay group" if I wanted to know. I asked what dates senior week was scheduled and she gave me those dates, now that's consistent.

I would hardly consider asking what the crowds will be like hysterics. I don't want to be there during senior week when the place is overrun with teens.

Why would you even consider exposing any children much less your own children to such a circus...I am sure you can find more appropriate entertainment elsewhere the first week in June. This is definitedly rated X!

hysterics..???
You're only 27, and may, or may not, have children...
..but yes, parents can get pretty irate if NO ONE tells them it's ..'Gay Days at Disney'.. after the parents had paid 50$ to 100$ or more a pop per family member to spend a whole day there.
I didn't see O'Reilly, but I can assure you there are 'displays' going on during this time that famlilies are subject to, and don't want their children exposed to.
I think you're either disingenuous ......or naive.

Though this was not directed at me, I do have something to add. When we at DW last year, there were two teenage couples that seemed to be hitting the same rides at about the same time as us in the magic kingdom. I'm guessing them to be in the 14 to 15 year old range. At first it was handholding and hands in back pockets, but it got more intense as we went. My ten year old, on the verge of wondering what the facination is all about, couldn't tear her eyes away. It did offer us a good opportunity to discuss what behavior belongs where, but we had to stop for a snack and head for another part of the park. So I for one am turned off by overt behavior on anyone's part.

Yes it is posted on homosexual advocay sites. How many heterosexuals go to those sites? I'm not going to. They'll never knowingly get a hit from my computer. Summer months are tough for kids. My wife and I used to treat the kids to a day off from school during the first two weeks back to school, and take them to Disneyland.
They can enjoy the park like no other time, because the staff is still full force, park open for long hours, with very few people attending. As a family day, it was a rich success.

Yes it is. And the stupid thing is, if they would act like normal human beings and not some sex-starved 14 year olds in heat (at 25-45), just enjoying the park and not groping each other there, I wouldn't mind nearly as much them being there.
