"2 is too young to be misbehaving. "

Well, she must have been mature for her age. Is 2 1/2 too young to misbehave? The Toddler is really good at it. We had it out yesterday over him telling me "NO." I put him on the couch and said "sit there until your tantrum is over." He said "no no no," then got up and danced around saying "NO NO NO NO" while shaking his hips. Then I wore his butt out and put him back on the couch and said "don't tell me no. you sit here until you can be nice." I walked back into the kitchen and heard this faint little whisper "no" from the couch. He stayed put though.

It is very trying on the nerves! It is teaching me that I need to choose my battles wisely though. Otherwise, it would be an all day brawl around here.

Oh, the joy of the "terrible twos"! Everything is "no", whatever it is. When my daughter was in that stage, with the blessing of my pediatrician, I kept a glass of ice water in the fridge to stop the really bad tantrums.

I truly believe my daughter is better off without contact with my NY family at this point. And I know that is a very not nice thing to say, but I can't help it.

In this situation I think I have finally out b!tched my mother and I as much of a one as I am, I could never hold a candle to her.

I'm sorry I dumped all of this on all of you, it was never my intention.

Very good! Rita Cosby is the human version of Sweet Polly Purebread, too, don't you think? I haven't been able to find a pic but I know you have an active imagination. :-)

Be nice to him. If he plays his cards right, both of his pups can grow up and be bishops in the Episcopal Church. ;)

Don't you know she was just aching for you to say "Oh yeah, us too!"? I think that's what prompts some people to give out TMI.
