How do I change my FR screen name?
Posted on 08/06/2003 6:57:00 AM PDT by AHerald
The answer's probably staring me in the face, but I couldn't find it the FR Help section or in the Edit Account section of the personal menu.

Newbie.

Can I have your old name... Maybe even purchase it? then people will stop calling me a newbie. I'll give you $1.35 for it with 45 cents down and 10 cents a month, baloon payment at the end.

Just put your new name in the tag line as an alias.

What would you change it to? Nothing clever. Simply AaronHerald as opposed to AHerald. Some other Freepers through the years have written me messages which imply they think the AHerald is a presumptuous claim to be a messenger or some such thing.

"Anyone able to tell me how I can access the general information section?"I think there are two ways ...
(1) Use your current SRB48C Freeper Codebook and input the daily output into your Masonic-Templar Secret Decoder Ring. Take that result as the address you use to email your request to your local branch of the Illuminati Overlords. Please ensure you use your True Name and grid coordinates so that the Mothership can send its black helicopters to deliver the coded authorization that you need to send in to JimRob to enable you to access this section.
OR ...
(2) Hold down the CTRL and ALT buttons and hit DEL with your other hand ...
Or am I mistaken?

JMHO, the double meaning of AHerald is great.
To: bedolido
I'll take your offer under consideration.
The whole newbie old-timer thing here is a bit silly isn't it?

I wonder if the admin mod would take $1.75 to change my "User Since Date" to 08/29/98?

Don't tease him, Blue. Everyone knows you have to buy your way into General Interest.

I may add that using your real name will get you no more flames than those handles do.

In light of current events, I don't suppose you'd consider trading names with me...

I changed my screenname. Just send a FReepmail to "john robinson" and request he change it so you can keep your sign up date.So many folks are doing this now, it is hard to tell who you are talking to. I'll see a new name & check the profile, only to find out that they have been here since 1912!
