LOL!! Thank goodness the chaplain doesn't have this link!
;-)
Anyways, it's pouring out!! Thank you Lord! We sure need the rain.
I'm off to my mom's house again...she bought a really big TV and they need my help picking it up and putting it on the stand. See you all later!

The main thing I wondered about was the guy with the beard sitting in the back. Can't see him that well in the little picture, but certainly could in my copy.
Hey - I know that song they're singing! Kewl!
Looks like a very nice chapel.

I doubt the so'jers in Baghdad have had a chance to unload the barcaloungers and lawn furniture off'n the trucks yet... they have been busy little bees...

Good morning!

and he would prob'ly agree that showin' up to chapel in PT gear would never have happened in his day... but is systemic in the kinder, gentler army... You sound like my s-i-l even though he is in the "lesser service" He's in his 17th year now. And he can burn ears over the depths to which the army has sunk in babying these recruits. He's gotten flack from some of his platoon over makin' em stay in their armor all the time. Some other platoons are more lenient on some of the duties. But, they're in Bagdhad. And he ain't lettin' up. He says if they can't figure it out by the casualties they can just be ticked at his hard a$$. If I had a kid over there I'd want somebody makin' 'em get in the stuff too!

For the Lawn Chair Club of course. Where they sit around, drink beer, smoke, cuss, talk about wimmin and eat our Hobbit Hole snacks when they got em!

Good morning! I just talked to Corin on the phone, and it was ~really~ fun! He is really a pleasure to talk to.
Avalon Fishing Pier Live Cam
Please note that you have to manually refresh this page to get a new image.
Opportunities for Pier Cam pictures did not look good earlier, it was raining and the pier looked purdy durned wet. But just as he went to call me, the sun came out, and it just might turn out to be a nice day! Indeed the pier looks to be drying out on the live shot now. Current plan is to wait a couple hours.... He is gonna call me again at 9:00 my time and we will make the 'go-no go' decision for today.
SuziQ - the question was posed.... IF today doesn't work out for everything Corin would like to do with Frodo, would it be pushing it too close on your schedule for Corin to keep him another day and overnight Frodo to you tomorrow?

besides... it's always fun to pick on the lesser services...True, which is why us Army guys are merciless on the Air Force, you want to talk about livin' large...
My b-i-l is in the Air Force and I keep asking him when he is going to bite the bullet and join the military. ;^)
We Army guys may also get our jabs in at the Marines, but we respect them for what they do.

Yah...we AF folks got picked on a lot for being sissies...
But on the other hand, we laughed at them for havin' to get up and run in formation at five in the morning while we were still snug in our [comfortable real] beds...
To: Wneighbor
No hurry! Just wanted to fill you in!
