The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…

Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

The Road Goes Ever On…

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I'm dyin' over the part where he's begging Corin to leave him alone.

He knows not the tenacity of our precious dwarves! Muahahaha...

Good luck, and be careful in the Land of Mindless Meetings.
The stray minds tend to wander and cause all kinds of harm...

Just made a small observation to gooberhead about some FReepers I met on FR over my three years here.
*chuckle*
Let's see if the light shines through the cracks to him.

He should know Corin and her friends will never "let it go."

Always enjoy pics of the chicks...can't wait till ours start laying...right now they are on the front porch...again...only can't get one of them off because he flew up to the high rafters and is just hanging out in the sun.

Tried to take the kids to school today but it was closed...just assumed they had school since mrnad had to sub. Instead they made a trip to the grocery store with mom...Aldi had veggie tales for $9 on dvd and we got one we didn't have yet...they are watching it now.

I must get busy...thanks for giving g'nad the good scoop on the chickens,

mrsnad

Matthew is just now finishing up his school for the day!

He earned another Pizza Hut personal pan pizza...he gets one once a month IF he reads age appropriate books (meaning chapter books) enthusiatically throughout that month. It doesn't matter how much, only that he does it with a happy heart.

Now for his Braums ice cream, he has to read 6 books...and he finished that too, so we're going to get him his ice cream here in a bit.

Just adds a but if fun to his reading...gives him a goal to work toward.

I'm personally reading "The Bronze Bow" to him right now...at night after Joshua goes to sleep. Ever heard of it? It's excellent. By Elizabeth George Speare.

I love Aldis. Have you ever tried their coffee? I think it's better than Folgers and very reasonably priced. And their canned goods prices can't be beat and they are GOOD!

I've not heard of it, but will look for it at the library next time we go...I love reading aloud to the kids but it seems we don't have much time for that now that they are in school...did I tell you g'nad has decided that we should pull them out after Christmas? I need to order their books...sonlight, saxon, shurley grammer and I think bob jones spelling...we've done sonlight and saxon before but I needed a new grammer and spelling program.

We get coffee from there too but mix the can of decaffeinated in with more expensive regular bag...we thinks it must be healthier that full caffine. :-) And I make myself drink a big glass of water before...in keeping with that healthier idea. Say...where do you get that "special" tea you drink?

It's just plain old Celestial Seasonings...I get it in the tea section of Walmart. Tension Tamer.

I've kinda adjusted to it now, I think, but at first I would go almost stuporous when I would drink it! LOL

How's the snow? It's still all over the place here except the streets thankfully...and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow.

I start Saxon Kindergarten phonics with Joshua this summer! And my friend Celeste uses the Bob Jones satelite curriculum.

Although there is good points to having Joshua in preschool...I miss him dreadfully during the day. I'll be glad to have him home again after this year.

mrsnad, I had Myranda in a Christian school for a time where they used Bob Jones. I was very pleased with it. I think you would like it. FWIW.

You have my bow on the other thread if you like. I read through. The guy is an idiot to the nth degree. I just didn't see anything I could say that hasn't been said already and the fool obviously only wants to fight and gain attention.

Happy to join the battle for the sake of battle.... Enjoying the session... but, not much else to say.

For some reason I can see the AM with his face in hand typing that with a resigned tone with the thought of "children, children,children.."
I shall go to my corner now.
As well I should, it's time for my daily lurk.
