Hm..my old cat is making me nervous. She's sleeping on her back and snoring and dreaming at the same time, right on the edge of the desk. I'm afraid she's gonna go over the side any second here...but if I poke her, she's gonna freak out. What to do, what to do?!

I think the crisis has been averted for now. My music work her up slightly and she shifted herself more onto the middle of the desk. Crazy cat!

I'm sorry! Maybe next time I'll get the camera before she wakes up! She sleeps on her back like that all the time...silly kitty! It doesn't look very dignified!

Mine does that too... My vet once told me that is how obese cats sleep. ;~D

She's not obese...just crazy. She's slightly pudgy, but no more than that. (Unlike Halvah, who might have reason to sleep on her back...)
Maybe it's cooler that way? She doesn't usually sleep like that in the winter.
OK, I gotta get back to housework! I'll check back in later.

Housework is the theme for the day here too... Right now I am gonna go clip Gidget's toenails.... This is a major trauma for her..... wish her strength and courage.
