The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Nope - that (1st Armored Division in Baghdad) is exactly what I was lookin' for, thanks!
(hoping ecurbh will have two minutes to post an update about the new project sometime soon! - WN - if you could keep track of your posts with the pictures of the packages and the knives, that would help him, methinks)

I bought a pretty big one last January. Pretty much just so that I could watch 'the' movie dvd on it. I can't wait to see the TTT movie on it too. Only 22 days.

You've hit on the primary reason why I quit teaching. Although I think the compulsory schooling paradigm is fundamentally flawed, there's no excuse for being intellectually lazy. You dumb things down, they whine. You spoon-feed them, they snivel. You do most of it for them, they cry about having to do the rest. And in the process, they convince their parents that you're not being fair.

Okay, I will start doing that.
I had a neat thing happen this weekend too. My friend who was here works for a shipping company so she is aware of the expense of shipping. She saw the things I have stacked on my table to mail now and knew it would cost quite a bit. So, though she isn't one of us, she donated $45 toward shipping! :-) Which is within a couple of dollars of what I had to spend on the 2 packages I sent out on Thursday. That was very cool for me.

Trouble is LF, I'm teaching college. And my worse students are the ones who have worked, been laid off and are coming back to school because the gubmint is paying them.
Talk about setting this conservative elf lass afire!!! That does it!!!!
