So what is the difference between the General Interest section and The Smokey Backroom section of the FR? Has The Smokey Backroom section been established because the General Interest section has sort of turned into the Hobbit section? I just want to know so I know what sort of stuff to post in The Smokey Backroom section.

Be sure to shave them too. We Hobbits have hairy feet!
I'd recommend Orc legs actually. They are hair-free and quite tender if you catch them young.

Ruthy, you know more freepers in RL than anyone I know. You're an outgoing and friendly soul.

Actually I'm partial towards fried Hobbit legs. But be sure to thoroughly clean them before cooking. Okay, now he's out. He's admitted his true character! He's an orc! And he's after the precious!!! Dwarves are natural sprinters! Run, keep the orc from getting the precious from the Hobbits!
ROFL!!!! ---- Hobbit comments for the day are successfully moved to this thread! (invited by PJ-Comix due to his orcish nature) I'll give the details for the troop shipments today on the regular Hobbit Hole thread though, don't want orc interference.

Ruthie: thanks for breakfast, the cafe au lait was delicious.
I was using the LOTR:FOTR and LOTR:TTT in an email, took them most of the week-end to cypher it out I was informed on Monday.
How bout that, the smokey back room, wonder if it is in Bree. There is a few interesting characters hanging about.

WN; apologies for misquoting your SIL's outfit in Iraq in my post to 300 Winmag.

Speaking of the precious...it has been left completely unguarded, and though I've been very good, I'm becoming sorely tempted...

Tolkien started out by being an expert in old European languages. When I was in High School I was sort of a lackluster English student. Then our teacher assigned us to read some Old English Beowolf Canterbury Tales and to pronounce it correctly. Somehow I picked right up on it and impressed the teacher with my ability to speak Olde English and from that point on I did well in English. BTW, I can still speak Beowolf (or Beowulf) quotes in Olde English:
Withe him ther was his son, a young squyer,
A lover and a lusty bachelor
Withe lockyes crulle as they were laid in presse
Of twenty years of age ey was i guesse.
BTW, most of the words aren't pronounced the way we now prounce them. For example, "guesse" was pronounced "guessa" and "age" was pronounced "azhe."

Would the HUHAC Chairman show me leniency if I name my fellow anti-Hobbit conspirators? I'll name names. All the HUHAC Chairman wants is the support of the nation for our military -
that and the elimination of Shelob-Hillary,
oh, and the cleansing of the Texas Legislature so that we can get a legal redistricting plan,
death to the father of the two-dead-guys wouldn't hurt either,
more autonomy and support for home schoolers
and critically complete repeal of all laws contrary to the second amendment in case I need to attack the tyrants myself at some point.
(oh, no, there's not a death theme here is there?)
Oh, and by the way, the HUHAC Chairman doesn't always have to use her mind. Because her course is set, and she spends hours and hours on her feet and using her finances to fight for what she believes. (mindless or no - but generally its the DIMocRATs that are calling her mindless - not the Freepers.)
Then, comes home and lets the Hobbit Hole crew rejuvenate her for tomorrow's battle.

Is an Orc like a Morlock? And are the Hobbits equivalent to the Eloi?

I'm sitting here laughing because I am sorely neglecting the work on my desk due to my Hobbit addiction. :)
The Smokey Backroom is Bree! Without a doubt!

OBM, that was not a problem. :-) We all knew who you were talking about, and it took me forever after he married my daughter to figure out the military terms to listen for on the news so I could keep up with him. Besides! the 101st had a BIG day that day. It was exciting!

There is a good funny short story somewhere in all this Hobbitry. Maybe I'll throw it into the mental hopper and write one up. BTW, did you know there are HUNDREDS of online writing contests all the time?

There are HUNDREDS of funny short stories in the Hobbit Hole.
I guess you'll have to go through all 58,302 posts to find them though! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!

BTW, did you know there are HUNDREDS of online writing contests all the time? We had several Hobbit Hole folks (not all are hobbits) participate in Nanowrimo last November. Most finished. I had a death in the family and didn't (I was writing crap anyway).
