Hey Corin, I think Gimli's quote would fit nicely here. ;)

Tribune - Your baiting tactics are sadly lacking. Try to use bigger words next time and maybe you won't need to use CAPS anymore. hehehehe.

Given the conflicting views on cosmogenesis, it's a wonder none of your spectacular Astronomy threads has ended up in the SBR. ;^)

P.S. I love them!

Hobbits are SHORT and STUPID.

The 82nd Airborne and the 1st Armored Division don't think so! And, uh, I'd rather have them watchin' my back than you.

and BTW, there are elves on that thread too. LOL!!

See? My point is made.

You know me and so just trust me when I say that Hobbit Holers are some of the finest people I've ever met. That thread and these folks have gotten me through some of the toughest times of my life.

And we cook a heckuva lot better than Larry does! LOL!

But, you're not interested in supporting our nation's military in a personal way huh?

Huh? Somehow being indifferent towards Hobbits is now unAmerican? Maybe we should establish HUHAC---House UnHobbit Activities Committee. I can just picture the grilling I would get from the Committee Chairman:

"Are you now or have you ever participated in UnHobbitlike activities?"

Shouldn't this thread be in general interest or smokey backroom?

You're right Ruthy. It fits nicely.

You speak evil of that which is fair beyond the reach of your thought, and only little wit can excuse you.

" We do talk about LOTR all the time though, especially since ROTK will be out in December at long last! :) "

this must be some sort of Hobbit speak/code

Yeah. That food he served was so horrible that I had to cast aside any pretentions towards politeness. I swallowed his horrible meatloaf and mashed potatoes and merely shoved the plate aside. But when he later served me a stale jalapeno bagel with melted American cheese inside, I took just one bite and unhesitatingly threw it against the wall. One of the bagel halves hit square against the wall and the cheese made it stick to the wall and it slowly oozed down. An outsider reading this would be shocked that I could be so impolite but it was one of those things where, as Rockford would say, "You had to be there."

LOTR = Lord of the Rings

ROTK = Return of the King

It's no different from the rest of FReeperdom using "IMHO", "IIRC", "BTW", etc.

Not at all. We don't give a rats clymer whether you like hobbits or not.

Where your ignorance shows is your condescending attitude toward our Hobbit Hole thread here.

It's when you see them use Elvish that you really have to worry.

I've just set out breakfast in the Hobbit Hole. Be sure to stop by and have some steak and eggs, OK?

The beer is in the icebox.

Let's see, just after this post:

But we've also adopted a troop in Afghanistan, and now a troop in Iraq. We've invested hundreds of dollars and supported them with numerous packages. We get together all over the country and about 30 of us will meet in Florida this January. We've participated in freeps and rallies across the country. We've written letters to the editor, stuffed and stamped envelopes and have been in the thick of the political battle. We've waged battles supporting home schooling, conservative values, lower taxes and more. Many of our members have served with distinction in the U.S. Armed Forces. Many of our members have served and continued to serve in full-time and part-time ministry. We've stood with each other in prayer and support in times of death, illness, family crisis, job loss and...teenagers. We are active (and financial) supporters of FreeRepublic

You posted this:

I just checked the back of my neck and I don't yet have a tiny plant growing from it. Sorry, I don't think I can get into all that Hobbit stuff...until I get my body/mind snatched.

What do you make of it?

Doesn't take too much of a mind to figure out that you think the actual financial and physical support of conservative values is a mindless activity.

SmokeyBackRoom started almost exactly a year ago with the "Massilon" Threads when people questioned the validity of a Traffic Stop between a somewhat unbalanced citizen who challenged a Law Enforcement Officer which then resulted in the death of two productive members of Society.

Anyone who argued the senselessness of the encounter was ruthlessly flamed by a small group of emotion based Big Government "Conservatives" who apparently see it as their mission to enforce whatever laws liberals pass regardless of their applicability to a Constitutional Republic of Sovereign Citizens.

If I continue to make statements like this, those Freepers will likely appear on this thread and IT will be moved to the SmokeyBackRoom to descend into meaningless baiting and counter baiting.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Actually I'm partial towards fried Hobbit legs. But be sure to thoroughly clean them before cooking.

Would the HUHAC Chairman show me leniency if I name my fellow anti-Hobbit conspirators? I'll name names.
