Goodness ! Hugs to you and Larry - what an experience! Never heard of anything coming and going so fast...
Take care and follow the dr's orders. Thank goodness Larry is so much better!
And Toby - Hugs to you in your new digs!
Probably the first few nights will be strange, but think of how much closer you are to Allie. You are RIGHT there when she needs you!
We suffered some kind of short in the electrical system during the storm this afternoon. The garage door, and part of the kitchen are on the affected circuit, which my husband says probably shorted-out, maybe due to water damage...Anyway, the bottom line is I have to call an electrician tomorrow....

I agree with you 2.
This spring, in and out of town...
I came back to notes and answering machine messages, and I answered them as best as I could in the time available, sometimes trading MORE answering machine messages, and never quite connecting...
BUT, simple as could be, I could log onto ATRW and find you ya'll HERE!

What is the consensus on the centuries (begin/end) of the middle ages? Chef wants some dates, but I keep running into conflicting information. As a historian, I figured you might be able to offer some arguments. I'm thinking about using 450-1550 as my answer.

I commiserate with Jemian. When I was in Korea, ATRW was pretty dead when I could find a computer. But I could read comments left for me, and reply, knowing that folks would get the message when they were awake.

What an absolutely frightening experience. I'd never heard of this malady until you mentioned it. Thank God all is now well.

The 'Gift" has been sent packing...no more SHOWS and weeper ratty rats but good.He will be much happier with the other "true" conservatives at that mellow, tame, well reasoned sanctuary of refined intellectualism known as ...Liberty Post ;-)

Do you miss an aching tooth? ;-)
To: habs4ever
Which tooth? I have Neuralgia, so one aching tooth hardly seems like a nusience.

My apologies, but I was suggesting the departed Toodles was an aching tooth and not fun at all ;-)
I won't be holding a wake :)
To: habs4ever
There's certainly no need to apologize. I'm a tough old bird.

Wow. Most of the lasagne is gone. It was pretty good. I took FOREVER to make, starting from scratch. The only things I didn't make were the cheeses and noodles.
In practice, given notice, I could have. But I'm so glad I didn't.

I'm a tough old bird.Tough old bird... Hmmmm. Slow cook in enough wine to make the bird feel comforted...

Aching tooth is a good metaphor. Good riddance!

Got to get my sleep! See you all tomorrow!

I'm headed out to the Hot Tub to steep awhile. What do you recommend I add to the brine?

Spices! Come back a dill!
To: Iowa Granny
What do you recommend I add to the brine?(on the side:) A plate with a slice of cheesecake with chocolate do-dads and a strawberry on top would be a good touch.
Sorry, I evaluate everyone I meet as a customer, remember their name, and figure out what they like. ;>)
Enjoy your soak. I'm getting ready to call it a night myself. I'm down in my back.

Come back a dill! She would be a dilly. I think. I'd have to check Gastronomique.
I'm calling it a night. God bless us all. Each, and every one. 'ha Shalom.
