We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The United States has decide to try six suspected Al Qa'eda terrorists in military tribunals. The European Union has warned the United States not to use the death penalty or it would cause the international coalition to lose its integrity. [Ed. note: PUHLEASE!] Among the six designated are two British and one Austrailian.
An Iranian missile using a North Korean engine has been successfully tested. The tested missile has a range that will reach Israel.
And violence continues in Iraq: one American soldier was killed yesterday, and 12 wounded.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Second rant. They also discussed an e-mail from a viewer about how she turned the television off when the Clintons came on, and how she recognized trash when she saw it.
ALL of them, even Cal Thomas and Jim Pinkerton, talked about how FASCINATED we were with the Clintons, whether we loved them or hated them, and the liberal woman said it was because we all wanted to know what went on in their marriage! AND then the liberal guy (Neil something with a beard) said that the trash comment was totally over the top for someone who was a graduate of Georgetoown and a prestigious law shool like Yale!!! (Apparently you cannot be trash if you have an advanced degree, according to Neal.)
I was lying on the couch trying to doze, and this show made me so mad that I woke up.
I would be happy if I never, ever heard about those people again. The media shoves them in our faces every day because THEY are fascinated with them! I would like President Bush to get one/tenth the favorable coverage and passes that Clinton got!! GRRRRR!

Busy today, may not be back, but will start the thread between 7 - 7:30 tomorrow.
Chairman, hope your week is a good one!
Jane, how absolutely maddening. Those pundits are just not in touch with what so many of us think about the trash known as the Clintons!
lysie, pace yourself if you're still working on the barn. Loved the pic!!

Thanks for the information! My stems aren't quite that tall, but we had a delayed spring and the plants are in their first year. They really are quite sturdy!

Daisy drank all of my coffee and none of her water.
Traffic was very, very light.

Remember this?
The following were some comments made in the year 1957:
(1) "I'll tell you one thing, if things keep going the way they are, its going to be impossible to buy a weeks groceries for $20.00."
(2) "Have you seen the new cars coming out next year? It won't be long when $5,000 will only buy a used one."
(3) "If cigarettes keep going up in price, I'm going to quit. A quarter a pack is ridiculous."
(4) "Did you hear the post office is thinking about charging a dime just to mail a letter?"
(5) "If they raise the minimum wage to $1, nobody will be able to hire outside help at the store."
(6) "When I first started driving, who would have thought gas would someday cost 29 cents a gallon. Guess we'd be better off leaving the ca r in the garage,"
(7) "Kids today are impossible. Those ducktail hair cuts make it impossible to stay groomed. Next thing you know, boys will be wearing their hair as long as the girls,"
(8) "I'm afraid to send my kids to the movies any more. Ever since they let Clark Gable get by with saying damn in "Gone With The Wind", it seems every new movie has either hell or damn in it."
(9) "I read the other day where some scientist thinks it's possible to put a man on the moon by the end of the century. They even have some fellows they call astronauts preparing for it down in Texas."
(10) "Did you see where some baseball player just signed a contract for $75,000 a year just to play ball? It wouldn't surprise me if someday that they will be making more than the President."
(11) "I never thought I'd see the day all our kitchen appliances would be electric. They are even making electric typewriters now."
(12) "It's too bad things are so tough nowadays. I see where a few married women are having to work to make ends meet."
(13) "It won't be long before young couples are going to have to hire someone to watch their kids so they can both work."
(15) "I'm just afraid the Volkswagen c ar is going to open the door to a whole lot of foreign business."
(16) "Thank goodness I won't live to see the day when the Government takes half our income in taxes. I sometimes wonder if we are electing the best people to Congress."
(17) "The drive-in restaurant is convenient in nice weather, but I seriously doubt they will ever catch on."
(18) "There is no sense going to Lincoln or Omaha anymore for a weekend. It costs nearly $15.00 a night to stay in a hotel."
(19) "No one can afford to be sick any more, $35.00 a day in the hospital is too rich for my blood."

GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!
These libs on Fox get to me too. We ain't so dumb, when we see trash we know its trash and the Clintons are trash. And please tell me, Chelesa is going to Oxford right? Are they getting her some background where they can SAY she is a road scholar also? Billyboy ain't one is he? Didn't he 'drop out'? Biggest bunch of con artist I have ever seen, the whole family. By the way, kinfolks in
Ark tell me tbey DO NOT want them back in their state. On a sign entering Ark is a roadside sign that said 'ARKANSAS THE HOME OF BILL CLINTON' and someone spray painted under it 'that's your problem'.
HEY KING KOFFI, THEY ARE KILLING EACH OTHER IN AFRICA AGAIN.
Here is my removaton of the house report. I am happy to say we did not do much yesterday but rest. After church today we paint one more room, touch up another. start 'toteing' my clothes to d house, finish packing some can goods (most likely with waaaay expired dates on them when mean d will throw them away, move my bath room stuff down, and hope it stops raining so I can start taking things to storage. The closer it gets to 'get out day' the more I think about the so many years Treva and I lived here, the good times, the bad times, the hard times. I packed the picture of her winning the Mercedes at the Casino and remenber how excited whe was, not to mention me. I am taking our picture of us leaving the church on or wedding day with a little pillow just above it that says 'with this ring I thee wed' and my wedding band attached to the pillow to d house and hang it above my bed there.
Its time to start getting ready for church, and I am a slow polk and it takes me time to do that. I watch a little TV, dress a little here, a little there until it is time to go.
Ya'll have a safe day and it is a good day to be lazy so, be lazy.

And I can remember when a semi private room in the hospital was $12.50 a day and a private was $18.00 a day.

I have the hospital bill for my mother's stay (NINE DAYS) when I was born. $57.00.

It is HOT outside! My husband and I just cut up the limbs from our trimming on the 4th and sacked them for the trash. Whew! Humidity is terrible, so I won't be doing any more work until towards subdown, if we don't get another set of thunderstorms, which we may get.

Hi, Dog! We are all in the air-conditioning now, as the heat and humidity is really miserable, unless you are at the pool.

I just finished the first part of a "Tex-Mex" sausage. One more pass through the grinder and then I'll stuff the casings. I might even be done with them in time for supper. ;>)

What is a Tex-Mex sausage?
We are having leftovers tonight because eveyone isn't very hungry.
To: Miss Marple
It's a pork sausage with onions, jalapenos, and fresh cilantro. I sounded good, and I need the practice. ;>)

Sounds good! I am thinking that I would like to have a meat grinder. I have a recipe for skinkefrikedeller from my Danish grandmother....ham and potato meatballs with a cream sauce. BUT you have to grind the ham.
I was thinking a meatgrinder would be handy to have.

Hey John! I lurk here a lot but don't post often. Don't know if you take the Dallas Morning News or not (I live in Ft. Worth, and take DMN), but these articles were in today's paper. Unbelievable. I will write them a letter and probably cancel my subscription. (I get most of my news online anyway.)
Same-sex unions in "News"
News modifies its advertising policies
Same-sex unions are not even recognized in Texas, but they're now getting free advertising. Go figure. Just more "signs of the times", I guess. Very sad.
