I'm sure glad you posted this, because just 10 mins ago, I switched Fox off, after they had a News alert for the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest! It was making me sick to watch it, but I wanted to see the President's speech.

Happy 4th everybody!

That Captain on the left side of the screen (Sitting on the President's right) looks pretty serious. He's got his game face on. I love our troops.

Excellent speech! Fox commentator (funny-haired guy whose name I can't remember) says that "President Bush carries the casual look with grace."

I hadn't thought about him making a fashion statement! HA!

I would follow John's recommendation. I would also point out that you are aware that non-drinkers are assumed by waiters to be poor tippers, but there is a great deal of harm in judging people in this manner, which obviously the waiter did.

Thanks Mozie. And I am cooking today. We're having brisket and potato salad for supper tonight. It's been slow cooking all day.

I'm also making a chicken galantine for tomorrow, along with baguettes to serve with it. I'm also making french onion soup for lunch. So far. ;>)

FWIW....Last night I had fresh grilled grouper almondine.
Hubby had sea scallops in a puff pastry shell,
..lobster beurre blanc and mushrooms.

For dessert, hubby had mango cheesecake and I had coconut cream pie with lots of toasted coconut on top.

The meal was presented well.

That sounds really good. I look forward to being employeed again so we can go out like that. One of my friends has found a really nice little restaurant in Carrolton that I've been wanting to try. The guy that runs it is really good. He has fish flown in daily.

I think you are hooked on puns. Such puns are eel befitting a fiddler like yourself. Don't mackerel a halibut out of it.

Sorry to snapper like that.

'Tis a fluke of nature. Far be it from me to skate on my responsibility to seriousness of discourse, lest I be labeled a pike-er. I'll stop floundering around with the language -- sorry I made a bass of myself...;-)
