In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
Antaean \an-TEE-un\ adjective
1. mammoth
2. having superhuman strength *
* Indicates the sense illustrated in the example sentence.
Example sentence: In an emergency, an average person can become an Antaean powerhouse, capable even of lifting a car to rescue someone trapped underneath.
Did you know?
In Greek mythology, Antaeus was the gigantic and powerful son of Gaea the Earth goddess and Poseidon the sea god. Antaeus was a wrestler and whenever he touched his mother (the Earth), his strength was renewed, so he always won his battles even if his opponents threw him to the ground. He proved invincible until he challenged Hercules to wrestle. Hercules discovered the source of the giant's strength, lifted him off the ground, and crushed him to death. In 18th century England, the poet William Mason discovered the power of "Antaean" as a descriptive English adjective, when he used it in his _Ode to the Hon. William Pitt_: "If foil'd at first, resume thy course
Rise strengthen'd with Antaean force."
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

"Nice blend of rx's there. Just give it some time. You'll be back to normal soon. Did you try some ice on it?
Hope you're feeling better by the 4th, honeygrl. "
Yeah, I've tried ice, heat, massage. Nothing helps. I can't find a way to lay down in bed that doesn't make it worse either. The doctor told me not to lift the kids and to get a babysitter over to help. Yeah, and are they going to pay for the babysitter? I don't even know anyone who would/could babysit. Thankfully it's a holiday weekend so if I can make it until hubby gets home tonight, I'll have someone to help with the kids for a few days to try to let the muscle heal. My mom doesn't believe me that it's even as bad as I say it is. The meds have *finally* kicked in some and are helping slightly. I called and asked for an anti-imflammatory and to see if there was a stronger muscle relaxer that would help but they said xanax was the best they could do and the tylenol in the percocet is an anti-inflamatory. I'm about ready to just call Dr Kivorkian. The doc said it could take a few weeks to heal too. The meds are making me sooooo sleepy too but I can't go to sleep because the toddler doesn't nap and the baby won't nap but 30 minutes twice a day and that is not even until 5-6pm for the first nap. I am just going to have to hang out here or crochet all day to keep myself awake.

I went from mousy brown to dark auburn and then a little lighter because I thought that it would go best with my green eyes. But then everyone told me that I'd look better blonde. :)

"That would be me. It started to hurt while you were rocking your baby? Where is the pain located? "
It starts at the base of my skull on the right side and goes down the right side of my neck into my shoulder blade and upper arm. The diagnosis on my paper from the doctor says "acute cervical strain." I'm thinking about calling the pharmacist to see if I can add an extra dose of tylenol with the percocet because the percocet only has 325mg of tylenol in it with 10mg of oxycodone to take every 4 hours. Then I have xanax 1mg to take every 8 hours.

how to get back that special "fresh feeling" somewhere... We already know that secret. It's a special deodorant spray for men called "Umpire."
It's for foul b*lls

Some of us keep that fresh feeling by not associating too closely with the croquettes.

"get DR to give you some anti inflamtories (sp). It will speed the healing and lessen the pain if its a pulled muscle. "
I called and asked for that and they said the tylenol in the percocet is an anti-imflamatory and they can't add to that. I just called the pharmacist too and they said I can't add anymore tylenol to that either. Soo basically I'm just sh!t out of luck.
