Washington (CNN) -- Despite a strong push from President Bush, some Congressional Republicans are speaking out against compromise legislation to expand Medicare's prescription drug coverage.
The Senate version of the $400 billion, 10-year bill that emerged after negotiations did not include a key component that Bush and many Republicans have argued is critical -- incentives for private plans to compete with the government to provide the drug benefit.
