[vanity] Who's your motorcycle insurer?

Well, State Farm has jacked my premiums up for the third time in a row, even though I haven't changed my riding patterns, had any accidents, nor made any claims.
I'm looking for another insurer.
What insurance companies do people use, how happy with them are you, and (if you want to disclose it) what do you pay for given coverage amounts every 6 months?

Good Evening Martin-
Currently insured by State Farm Insurance for my pristine Honda CBR 600F2. Used to have them for my automobile insurance, but was fortunate to be able to switch to New Jersey Manufacturers for that coverage last month.
State Farm Insurance is a horrible company. My mint-condition motorcycle is over ten years old, no claims, no tickets, and I even moved to a "safer" address...yet my premium is GREATER now than what it was a decade ago.
Thanks for reminding me about dumping those scumbags.

I just renewed at $163 for a year with Progressive (through Harley Owners Group). It's cheaper here in Washington than it was in California (something to do with it being parked for eight months out of the year up here, I guess) but even in California I found my rates were good.
I have a 2001 Harley Sportster. Good luck in your search for a new insurer!

I recommend Progressive. To me, the proof is in the pudding. Low cost doesn't mean squat if they screw you when you have a claim. I had an accident, Progressive has been great at taking care of both the medical bills and damage to my bike. I like them so much, I'll probably switch my auto insurance to them at renewal.

I use Geico I have had them for 10 yrs this yr all rates went up ( I insure my cars and trucks along with my bike with them)
My bike a 1998 Vulcan Classic 800 is insuranced to the hilt. 0 deductable cost about $600 per yr.
I suppose I could get basic insurance for less then $200 per yr but I'm not complaining

I'm with Progressive and have had one claim, minor damage, my fault, and I wasn't penalized too badly. ST1100, $460 a year, full coverage, LAlaland.

parked for eight months out of the year up here When you commute via ferry, two-wheels is the only way to go, year round. Of course, we only see the Harleys from May to October....wimps.

2000 Pontiac Bonneville
1995 Safari GMC Van
1996 Harley Davidson XL1200CC
Luv USAA and never had any problems with them.

Ouch!
Okay, okay, I'm a recreational rider and prefer not to have my fingers get frostbite while I'm riding. :)

I got a hideously high quote from Progressive's website, but by going through the Harley Owners Group I got a very good rate. Same thing with my autos, very high from Progressive and Geico on the website.

Don't worry Sandy, we give the same cr*p to the Harley riders face-to-face, (when they show up). Keep the shiny side up!
