No, I meant that CA needs something like 920,000 signatures to force the recall, but they want 1.2 million to have enough if some are disqualified....

Molly, we have something in common - today is my daughter's birthday too.

Happy birthday to your son, John.

Just outside, and didn't find anything like THAT. Thank goodness. Icky, ICKY!!

When that recall effort got underway, it seemed quixotic to me - now it's considered a done deal! Hats off to the organizers, etc.

I think it's funny that David Horowitz thinks the recall effort is just another example of Republicans' being politically tone-deaf. I say, hey, getting rid of Davis, as long as the method is constitutional (election or recall), is good for California...;-)

No, the year she was born the 18th was a Tuesday.

Yes, she and her family, complete with my beautiful little grandkids are in Maine. I'm going sometime this summer, but until we name the new Rector at church, I can't leave. I'm on the committee doing the searching - which we hope we just finished. We turned over 3 names to the Vestry and now the rest is up to them - unless they don't like our choices. Ugh - I don't even want to think of that possibility.

You've got that absolutely right! If we let Davis hang around in the office of governor any longer, we will have so many taxes we won't be able to eat!

In all honesty, if he and the demoncrat controlled legislature get on a roll, they can tax the state of California right out of existance, and do it without blinking a stinking eye.

People not in CA don't realize how Davis got re-elected -- all the special interests he owns, and the strong-arming and logrolling that goes on with this governor. He ties funding of state programs to contributions to his fundraising. I wonder why nobody goes after him on this issue alone?

However, that doesn't necessarily preclude a "break" from Hosting ATRW.

Maybe the week after Independence Day (July 7-11)?

That world-class incompetent, Stansfield Turner, is on now insisting that President Bush exagerrated CIA intelligence to suit his ends. I am so mad I could scream. Obvious partisan attack cloaked in Turner's "expertise." UGH.

Chair, those July dates will fit my schedule just fine.

jtill, here's hoping the Vestry doesn't send your committee back to the drawing board then.

But, but "Meathead" was on tv this morning saying the recall should only be used for ethical issues. That's what the intent is, And you're saying Davis is corrupt as well as incompetent??? Oh NO! It can't be!!

They remind me of the moss that is now growing on many of the older buildings/bridges/walls at WOO POO U now that the rain has been coming more often than sunshine...just creeping up the sides of the walls...and everywhere you look, there is another bigger patch of it.

Hi everyone! Redleg and Dog, got your notes and have replied. Thanks.

Oh, I haven't even begun to think of planting the flower beds.... well, I have thought about it, dreamed about beautiful flower beds in front of the house, but, then I went back to sleep. @:)

I haven't checked the Wal-Mart here to see if the book ( you know which one) has sold out or caved in ...

Neets, you feeling better? Guess your last week-end was splendid!
