If you want to go reall small, there is a 5 shot 22 mag revolver that will fit in the palm of your hand and can easily be hidden in your pocket. North American Arms? (can't remember)

Unless you're planning to use the muzzle blast as a weapon, why use .22mag in such a short barrel? Even a .22lr will waste a lot of powder; in fact, some short-barreled .22lr pistols will actually achieve higher muzzle velocities if loaded with .22short.
