This shark belonged to a public aquarium (I don't know if it was tax supported but it undoubtedly served public and scientific purposes), and this kind of shark is relatively rare in captivity and cost a good deal of money to capture and keep alive.

If this "comedian" cannot reimburse the aquarium for the shark, then maybe the proper punishment is to shove him, naked, into a tank of piranha.

Thank you. If the man's stunt caused the shark to die, he's responsible for his own actions. Unless we all wish to adopt the liberal mantra...

But it never ceases to amaze me how often FR stories regarding the deaths of animals are mocked with enthusiasm.
