I known what you mean but it is a simple message for today. I like it because it talks to my biggest topic, false idols.

I like it because it talks to my biggest topic, false idols. I guess it does at that. Thanks for offering a different view on the toon. I can live with that interpretation.

Because she was playing with those little rubber bands for her hair (instead of going to sleep like a good girl), More evidence of the 97-sponsored vast left wing conspiracy.

So, I see I'm not the only one who's had trouble sleeping the last couple of nights. Something is definitely in the air. Perhaps it concerns some brainwave permeating from the bowels of Chappaqua that is telling the sheeple to buy 97's book and vote for her in 2004. Being as we're conservative, and therefore resistant to such vapid manipulation, our bodies are fighting off the infection in the same way a concussion victim must be prevented from falling asleep.

You know what that quote is from?
One of the witches speaks it to the other two in Macbeth, Act IV, Scene I. She senses the apprpoach of Macbeth, the murderer of Duuncan and Banquo.
By the pricking of my thumbs.
Something wicked this way comes!
Open, locks!
Whoever knocks?
You know what they used to call Hillary, don't you? THE LADY MACBETH OF LITTLE ROCK!
To: Miss Marple
THE LADY MACBETH OF LITTLE ROCK!Quite an overwhelming compliment, from my perspective.
All my dishevel has been solved. I have someone to cover for me at the meeting.
I visited a wonderful Garden Center yesterday evening before my meeting. I came away with 5 new Buck Roses and one day lily. Also 3 Neon sedums, and an array of white and grey things for the containers in my Serenity Garden (all white). It is far too wet to dig in the dirt today, but I will get the containers planted.
For diversion, I will attempt to tame Mt. Laundry. I'm off to play in the dirt.

a big hmmmmm...... I, too, had trouble sleeping last night. But then again, I usually listen to Michael Savage as I read about an hour before turning off the light. Man, he was on fire yesterday. I'm surprised he didn't pop a blood vessel. He went on and on, and rightfully so, about all this stuff in the Hildebeast's book about Bill's dalliances is just a smokescreen for what those two did to this country for 8 years - - from the selling of the Lincoln Bedroom to the selling of our secrets to the Communist Chinese. I guess I couldn't sleep after that, knowing how this woman-beast is sure pulling the wool over the eyes of the sheeple.
My mother, God bless her, is 80 and a big supporter of the Clintons. I asked her, "how can you do that after all they've done to this country?"
"Well, she says, the economy was good."
"So," I say, "does that mean if the Dow Jones goes up another 50 points, BillyJeff can rob a liquor store? Since when was morality tied to the Dow Jones Index??"
I told her I simply didn't understand her change of heart. When I was 14 she wouldn't let me shave my legs until I was 16 - - because only "fast" girls did that - - whatta a change of heart! Now, I'm the one whose the conservative in the family - -hah!
A big load is off my mind and my plate at work. I finished up another one of my MBA classes and I put the finishing touches on a big proposal at work - - I'm taking off school for the summer and trying to get my "better half" to play hookey with me as well. I have to go visit Mom on her birthday in July - - visiting family is not my definition of "vacation" - - especially when you have to bite your tongue about politics if you want the visit to go peacefully.
Well - - I just want you to know how much I love you guys. I know what you're all up to, who needs prayers and who needs a swift kick in the pants.....I lurk several times a day and as our dear illstillbe says, "I carry you around in my pocket" at all times.

Good thing for us folks who have no need to answer to the call of an alarm in the morning. <Tossing and turning means listening the radio for a few hours.....thankfully Art Bell is no longer on our WABC affiliate......LOL.......so when I finally fall back asleep I don't have weird dreams.......er nightmares.

I told her I simply didn't understand her change of heart. When I was 14 she wouldn't let me shave my legs until I was 16 - - because only "fast" girls did that - So was it her desire that you be a "slow" or a "medium" girl? It seems strange today that there was once a time when girls were judged more on how they looked rather than what they did.
My Mama used to warn me about "Fast" girls. I never listened much to Mama. She didn't want me to have any fun. It was a Steel Guitar player that taught me the facts of life. That Steel Man (Bashful Bobby by name) said it was the shy reserved girls, who cried at sad movies, and cried at happy events and were quite reserved in public, that had lots of repressed passion they would give to the right man. I played a lot of tunes on my solid body Tele with that steel man, and he knew a lot more than how to play "The Steel Guitar Rag"... He was about as refined as a guitar picker gets. His version was called the "Steel Guitar Cloth".... He didn't think "Rag" sounded all that good!
Now as they say... the commercial..
In my most recent column, Unprecedented Plug goes here, I write about how Clinton who because he is very unsure of his masculinity, becomes the promiscuous type in compensation.
I have found a similar situation in the female gender. Females that dress and act as sexy as possible in public are really not very sure of their womanhood. They try to prove to themselves that they are a real woman by the number of men they can attract. They are never anything like their advertisement.

Gleaned from today's Iowa Presidential Watch offering:
What do John Kerry and a Gilligans Island character have in common? In his Washington Whispers column in this weeks U. S. News & World Report, Paul Bedard writes: Have you even found yourself wondering if Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry is really Thurston Howell III, the Gilligans Island millionaire? No? Well, you will soon if Republican strategists follow through with their prankster plans for the 2004 presidential race. Well gig em whenever and wherever we can, says one source.
The idea is simple. Send an attack mascot to primary and caucus appearances of leading Democratic White House hopefuls to heckle and unnerve the candidates. Initial plans by GOP strategists focus on Kerry, Rep. Dick Gephardt, Sen. John Edwards, and Sen. Joe Lieberman.
Just this weekend, Edwards will be met in his home state with a Welcome Wagon, a dig at how much time he has been away campaigning. The most original is the Kerry gag mascot: somebody dressed as Howell, the lock-jawed dim bulb who inherited his wealth. In his straw hat; a $150 price tag to represent his barbers fee.
Suggests Kerry spokesman David Wade, the GOP should lay off the Gilligans Island imagery before we cast George W. Bush as gilligan in the remake.

If you do nothing else today, go to this site to view the photo of Kerry in the straw hat. The info is fun, too
Iowa's top political columnist rates the dwarfs:
HORSERACE JOURNALISM: Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean continues to gain strength in Iowa and now threatens to overtake Massachusetts Senator John Kerry for second place in the Iowa Democratic caucuses, according to the latest poll. Missouri Congressman Richard Gephardt has tightened his grip on first place.
The poll, taken by Research 2000 for KCCI-TV and KIMT-TV, polled 400 likely Democratic caucus-goers June 2-4. Gephardt had 27 percent of the respondents, up from the 22 percent he showed in March. Kerry has 14 percent and still holds onto second place, but that's down six points from the 20 percent rating he got in March.
snip
Throughout the history of the caucuses, only the top three finishers in Iowa remain viable candidates.
No one finishing worse than third in Iowa has ever gone on to win a major party presidential nomination.

How true you are, thought I would go bonkers when I retired but no-no-no, I am so thankful that I can don't have to answer to a clock or do things except those things I want to do. But then again, I keep myself awfully busy working on my farm, running around doing the things gd wants to do, it is so nice and NO! I do not think a man has to work at a job to stary busy, staying busy with NO job is doing me just A OK!
