AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 871) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 10, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 06/10/2003 4:08:12 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Tonight, at 9:00 PM ET, Hitlery will be interviewed on CNN. Opposite that, on Fox News, there will be an interview with Juanita Broaddrick.

Meanwhile, The New York Times, in a review of Stealing Cheating Living History, referred to the "work" as a "[b]ook [that] has the overprocessed taste of a stump speech, the calculated polish of a string of anecdotes to be delivered on a television chat show." [Ouch!]

The FBI has drained a Maryland swamp as part of its anthrax probe.

Former Executive Editor of The New York Times, Harold Raines made a contemporaneous argument that then President Clinton should not be removed from office over the Lewinsky scandal. Now former President Clinton, it turned out, argued with the owner of the paper that Raines should not be let go over the Jayson Blair scandal.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good Morning, Young Lady!

I too had a sleepless night. Part of it was due to the floor that I slept on! (My wife is still recovering from her flue bug, so I slept on the floor in youngest daughter's bedroom.)

Saw eldest daughter off for France this morning. She has a great group that she is traveling with, and her french teacher is top notch. She was excited, as you can imagine.

The host on Catholic Radio this morning implored his lieteners to not buy hildabeast's book. "Don't but it, don't buy it, don't buy it!" Gotta love that kind of zeal!

Well, I still think it is strange that for a variety of reasons, a lot of people didn't sleep well last night.

Prayers for your daughter as she travels. My daughter so much enjoyed her tour last year, and learned so much! I am sure yours will as well.

Good Morning. Insomnia and thunder boomers are quite a conbination. We had lots of lightening and thunder around 2:00 am. I had to shut down the computer. After I drifted off, the power was off, scrambling the alarm clock.

I am just now waking up. I was suppose to be in DM in an hour. Alas, it is a 2 hr drive, and I won't make it.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to solve this one.

lysie: Toddville is about an hour away, near Cedar Rapids. I will go back and check the link when I have time.

I'm off to check the dayrunner to find someone to sit in for me. Back Later.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Carolyn, French bound, wants to get someting from Normandy. She loves history as much as I do. I'll be anxious to hear about her impressions of Normady Beach.

Oh, I never count my chickens. McIntosh is determined to stay in, and that could cause problems.

I will tell you that I was NOT impressed with his campaign, although he is a nice person. He had THREE offices to maintain (a huge organizational error in my book, as a lot of time was eaten up in phone calls, travel, and scheduling)and he was very lax on both security and supervision of his people. In addition, he chose a foolish centerpiece for his campaign and refused to deviate from it, even when it was obvious that it was getting no traction.

I could rant about this for hours, but I think you get the picture.

Daniels is well-liked, got his start in the Reagan White House, and is smart. We could use a good governor, let me tell you!

Goodness, can I add my name to those who did not sleep well at all last night. Up for hours!

I thought my disturbed sleep was due to the proximity of NYC and a certain grifter who invaded the airwaves.

I woke up at 4:00AM also, but I thought it was due to the fact that I went to bed early last night, and the storm was just arriving at that time this morning. Now, I'm not sure....hmmmm.

Good morning!

I did not sleep well last night either, but it was the fault of my genius daughter #1, who woke us up at midnight because "her feet hurt". And you know why her feet hurt? Because she was playing with those little rubber bands for her hair (instead of going to sleep like a good girl), and fell asleep with one on each foot, about halfway between her toes and heel. Of course her feet hurt, after wearing them for 3 hours!

I didn't get back to sleep until almost 2. Sleep deprivation is awfully hard on my Spanish....

RE: #35.

I passed over this two days in a row. I didn't like the subtext: trust God only when there is no one else to trust. We should trust God at all times. Maybe if we trusted God at all times as a Nation, there would be less of what is in the cartoon's newsstands.

Well, that is my theory. Lots of weirdo occurences at the same time. Senator Pantsuit's re-emergence has disturbed the space-time continuum.
