We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good Morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
A 4.5 magnitude quake struck in western Kentucky.
GAG ALERT - A&E has announced plans for a movie about 97's life in the White House: A fair and balanced personal history. Wonder if we'll learn about the billing records or Vince Foster.
However, Fox News polling has shown that, in a hypothetical matchup, President Bush would trounce UOx42 by 21 points.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

My big fear is that #97 and the 'rats will manage to lie, cheat, and steal her way into the office. We must remain ever vigilant and NEVER get complacent!

Oh, I am not complacent. The 2000 election taught me that!
However, I also don't like the "she will get elected" attitude, because after that comes the "what's the use in trying" thinking, and I do NOT like that one bit!

I'm still trying to figure out when she's going to make her move. 2004 might be her best bet, she will still be young enough. However, I think she will wait, especially if President Bush looks unbeatable. But then she will have to defend her Senate seat in 2006, if she loses that, I think her presidential dreams will go down the drain. And in 2008, she will be what, 62, 63 years old? I think she is hoping all of the dem presidential candidates will flop this year, and the Democrat party will draft her to run for president. It's going to be interesting.

I agree with you, Jane. And, no, I would
never think that you would be complacent .... you have too much sense for that. But some FReepers seem to feel that we have an easy task ahead of us and I disagree strongly with that idea. As long as the 'rats are able to steal elections, or try to, we need to stay on our guard .... and make sure that we win big enough to offset their shenanigans.
I will always be convinced that if ALL of the legal votes were counted in 2000 ... and only the legal votes .... GWB would have won the popular vote and the Electoral College vote would not have been close.

I'm going to bed. All of a sudden I have a muscle spasm in my left shoulder blade. I think a hot bath is in order. Talk to you all tomorrow night, I'm flying home to Utah tomorrow. I'm pretty excited to be going home, and staying home. :)

G'night! We'll keep you in our prayers as you travel.

Good day at drill today. God has blessed me. And, the cinnamon rolls were well recieved.
Trill has made it to Arizona now, and will be calling soon to talk about the Belmont.
I look forward to tomorrow, and the opportunities tomorrow brings.

Well, I know now why we're having so much rain ..... :^)
This is from the nbc6 (Charlotte) website ....
Is the recent rain coincidence or an act of God?
06/06/2003
By CHRIS JUSTICE / 6NEWS Just over nine months ago self-proclaimed prophet Bob Griffin made this claim on a local radio station that it will not cease to rain.
"Because I believe with all my heart that I have been anointed for authority," Griffin said on Gaston County radio station in Aug. 2002.
This week the Detroit based man is back in the area saying the fact that what was a drought and is now an inch surplus of rain, is proof the words he spoke were prophetic.
"As a prophet I just at times begin to speak and as I begin to speak, I hear the Lord say, 'It's going to rain. This is what it's going to look like.'" Griffin said.
Is there something to this or is all the recent rain simply a coincidence? Griffin knows there are skeptics.
"Jesus marveled that there were people who didn't see and didn't understand and there will always be people who don't see and don't understand," explained Griffin. "Every place that I go it rains. Every place that I go, God begins to water the land. Why? Because I am blessed. I am the head and not the tail. People say, 'Who do you think you are?' I think I am a Son of God."
And there are some in the area who believe him. Pastor Rick Calloway from Sword of the Rock in Lincolnton does.
"Oh I definitely believe Bob is a prophet," he said. "If you'll get into the word and read what the word of god [sic] says... if a man calls himself a prophet and the things he prophesies don't come to pass... then you can call that man a false prophet."
Calloway says the record of Griffin's ministry is proof and he points to the rain in our area as more proof.
So what does Griffin think will happen next in our area? He says this region is about to see a spiritual revival that will touch the world.
Suuuuuuurrrre!

. I think a hot bath is in order. A hot bath, or a motion to adjourn are always in order, according to my Roberts Rules of Order (somewhat modified over the years).

re. Little Havana.
Did he take you to Versailles? Or where?
Glad you enjoyed Miami. Remember the old bumper sticker, "Last American out, bring down the flag"!

Are you fixing more goodies for tomorrow? I'm too broke at this point. Lipids are expensive. I wanted to do hand-made vanilla ice cream (most excellent... Mmmmm.... and I don't {generally} eat sweets) in puff pastry cups with macerated raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries, topped with flash-fried mint leaves, but I'm out of cream and cream is EXPENSIVE!
Your rolls are also on hold pending a cash infusion. Although flour is cheap, postage is not. ;>)

And a motion to adjourn is not debatable.
I knew your rolls would be received warmly (sic pun)
I'm watching a fireworks display from my office window. The finale of the evening's activities at the celebration in town. Tomorrow is the Eccumenical Service. Father mentioned at mass tonite that the Eccumenical Service DOES NOT count as Mass. (as if we didn't know) He asked us to spread the word thru the beer garden tonite. I think he's fearful the faithful will skip 8:00 and 9:30 mass in exchange for the 11:00 Eccumenical Service.

Mr. Chair, ATRW,
Finished the book!
Friday, 1:30 a.m., 59th anniversary of D-Day, I hit the "send" button with the last of it, the index. Now the waiting and the worst side of things, promotion. At least it'll be out there soon.
William Howard Taft and the First Motoring Presidency, 1909-1913
(I'd change that promo, but authors have no say in these things... it's not a car book, it's a book on political history that includes cars...)
Three-1/2 years.
I've missed you good folks at ATRW through this last push.
Best to all!

Do you use a cooked recipe for your homemade vanilla ice cream? I used to do that. It took forever and a day to cook it to the clear custard stage, but the standing and stirring constantly got to be a pain. I've since gone to picking up a carton of 'mix' from the dairy case. It isn't nearly as good, but the kids think it's special because it come from the canister.

I knew your rolls would be received warmly LOL! I do have to mention that one of my airmen pointed out that there was a touch too much salt, and the icing had a touch too much vanilla. I thanked her for her assessment, but she's mopping tomorrow. (joking)

To: Iowa Granny
cooked recipe for your homemade vanilla ice cream? Yes, and real vanilla beans. And I push it through a sieve with a spatula to get rid of the chunks.
