the sun is actually trying to break through the clouds right now.

Maybe, just maybe I'll be able to get my peppers and tomatoes in the ground today.

sounds wonderful.

We did dinners sort of bass-ackwards this weekend. The crabs and beer were Saturday, burgers last night and today - crockpot dinner!!!!

Very nice.

Try using rosemary branches to skewer the shrimps. Tastes great and smells better. The aroma makes a hell of an impression on guests.

I've heard of getting crocked on beer for dinner but not on pot.

LOL!!!!

Believe me - I've already started on this beer!!!

And now I'm wondering what that strange color is in the sky? Hubby claims it is blue and that is what color the sky is supposed to be....but it's been so long since I've seen it, I'm not sure if I remember!!!!

Top o' the mornin' tae ye, Miss Bru! Barbeque... Hmmm... maybe we'll do that when we get home from the Northwest Folklife Festival this evening. It may be full of political correctness, but there's so much good music (with the exception of Eala's performance yesterday of old Gaelic working songs).

Odd though... the weather's been fair but the crowds are a bit down -- maybe 35-50k, instead of 50-60k.

Hubby is wrong, Gabz. The sky is supposed to be gray. It can be light gray or dark gray, but it's gray. 20 years of Seattle has established that fact quite firmly.

Mornin' MnM!!!

I can't listen to it again this morning. Trying to explain my tears to my daughter after the President laid the wreath at Arlington was enough for one day.

God Bless America and those who remind us daily that Freedom is by no means FREE.

That's what you get for living in Seattle. I was only in Spokane, but I knew there was a reason I moved south!

Spokane... it's a totally different world east of the Cascades. Nothing at all like Seattle (sigh).

Quite amusing to see the tables set up outside the Seattle Center (where Folklife is held). There was the "Impeach Bush" table, with hundreds of yard signs. And the goodwife said I nearly caused some heart attacks when I strolled by the PETA table in my kilt... with a (real) raccoon sporran.

Maybe I could've done better with a leather kilt, but that's so untraditional...
