That's wrong. She stole that set, fair and square.

'Narcissa' seems a little self-oriented.

Shouldn't the headline be "Woman tries to burn down Best Buy"?

"'Receipt?' Oh, I thought you said 'Molotov Cocktail.' Sorry..."

I hate when that happens. Sometimes it even happens to me.

A number of years ago, I was having dinner with my ex-wife. I wanted her to pass the salt but I had a slip of the tongue and said "You eff'in b***h, you've destroyed my life."

Hate when that happens.

LOL! That's what I thought, too. Who thinks up these names?

I can understand her frustration, heck, would someone let me know if they can actually get any service at Circuit City. My wife have been in there twice, first to buy a high end lap top computer, and the second time to upgrade our home theater equipment.

They are always to busy selling the latest hit CD or videos game. The first time they actually said that they were short handed while we stood there and watched 2 sales guys watch Sunday football games on the big screens.

The officers learned through their investigation that Barnhill had attempted to take back a television set earlier in the day and was told that she needed a receipt.

The store doesn't have record of her purchase of the set and its ID numbers? C'mon.

I'm not defending her but....

I had a situation at Circuit City where I bought a 27in TV and didn't get the extended warranty. I felt that with the cost of the TV it didn't justify extending the warranty for more money, plus everyone knows they make a huge profit off those things. Anyway, because I didn't get an extended warranty, they wouldn't back me when the TV went well within the manufacturer's warranty. I would have to get the TV to an "authorized dealer" myself, over 25 miles away, even though I'd paid for delivery. (Like I would've paid for delivery if I could lug the TV around myself.)

Best Buy, like Circuit City is a big step backward from Sears, the local TV store, even WalMart or KMart, if you need backing on the manufacturer's warranty. Unless you've paid their extortion (ie: "extended" warranty) Isn't it just a little unreal that these huge stores aren't authorized dealers, yet they sell warranties for coverage beyond what they aren't authorized to do?

Grrrr........

Having worked at a Best Buy, though not in customer service, it's not surprising.

That was on Comedy Central last evening. I'd forgotten how funny a documentary could be...

Narcissa was probably her Mom's second choice. She really liked Ticonderoga, but shucks, everybody was namin' their kids that those days.

That was my first thought too. Anybody who names a daughter 'Narcissa' is asking for trouble.

Boy, it's a good thing Texas doesn't have a concealed-carry law.

There's no telling what damage she would have caused, if she had been able to have a gun...

I rememeber an old '40's movie with a charactor name Benzedrena. I think it was one of Lucille Ball's first films.
